There are moments in life that are branded into you as a person. Moments that change the standard by which you measure your experiences. After eating at Abrasa, I will never experience steak the same again. Upon ordering, I found my first choice (the Uruguayan fillet with rosemary) already sold out. With expert guidance, Michael asked how I like my meat cooked and recommended the Scottish fillet. When I tell you, the flavor on this fillet was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. I’ve had steaks in America. I’ve had steaks in the UK. Nothing has compared to what I ate tonight. I cannot recommend Abrasa highly enough. From the service to the quality, you will not be disappointed

The best steak I've ever had!!!!

We went to Abrasa yesterday to eat, I like to look up restaurants that are high in the ranking and Abrasa is very high in Gran Canaria.

I'll be honest I had my doubts at first. At first the restaurant looks somewhat German or Austrian and has the interior of a classic eatery. When we entered, we also noticed the owner and owner walking around in a normal t-shirt (one with a Batman logo on it and the other with comic book texts).
But this is exactly what makes the restaurant so nice. It doesn't want to exude luxury fancy dining but it just wants to be and serve great food.

We hadn't booked so we had to sit inside. And yes it was hot. So my tip would be to
book in advance so that you can look out over the panorama with mountains and get a breath of fresh air in your face.

Then the appetizer. I had chicken sticks with Aioli and a baguette. Very tasty although I think it's a pity that the sandwiches are regular bake-off rolls and not homemade.

But then... the main course (drum roll) I'm a big eater myself, and I'm always hesitant when I see 200 grams of steak on the menu. For that reason I asked for advice from the owner and she has
recommended to me
take the flat iron steak. (this one is actually for 2 people)

My goodness, when that device arrived I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. What a huge thing I was served and I enjoyed it to the fullest.

The taste, structure, way of baking and garnish was perfect. I've eaten quite a bit of cow in my whole life, but this was by far the tastiest piece of meat I've had in my life. So I can't give anything but 5 stars.

Tried Abrasa with my mates last week on holiday. View from from the table was beautiful. Food was outstanding and incredibly good value. The owner is a top bloke, looked after us all night and had plenty of stories to keep us lads entertained. Good food and great people working there!

Excellent food. You should go for a mixed grill plate as it was incredibly delicious. The meat was on point and even the vegetables were great.
Super friendly staff who speak German as well.
We also tried the chocolate lava cake as dessert. Best decision ever.

i have been her many times and i love the food and the service is really great. we had a starter tapas dishes to share and a plate after with different meat an we loved it all. (the owner recomended this) one of the best restaurant in playa. we are going back in a few days.

Highly recommend! We tried the restaurant from a recommendation from a blog and we didn't regret it at all. Everything taste amazing. Sangria was perfect. We tried one of the steak recommended by the waiter and we loved it. The meat is tender and tasty. Definitely a good restaurant to try out! The service is also very nice and the waiter really took care of us.

Great meat restaurant. We shared the four steak platter with filet beef from Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina and Britain. All very good. Service was excellent too. It's out away from everywhere but it's easy to get to in a taxi. They will call a taxi for you when you are ready to leave

Chose Abrasa for our final meal of the holiday and so pleased that we did. Even though steak is not my "go to" dish we had one of the meat platters which included the crispiest of onion rings and fries with vegetables and it was all absolutely delicious. The pesto, parmesan bread topped with walnut was to die for. Highly recommend

Absutely fantastic place. Food is up there with the masters, steaks grilled to perfection and fish delicate and juicy. Great selection of wines, although admittedly we didn't have any as we were severely hungover!

Deserts didn't disappoint either, just the right balance of sweetness to finish it all off.

Must also mention the super charming and charismatic owner who takes the time to greet and talk to his customers.

Definitely sit on the terrace for those super scenic views!

Best food we had in a whole week. We tried several steak restaurants but hopefully we tried this one last! Thanks for owner for good service.

After many years of wanting to try Abrasa, I finally went last night. The decor is very cozy, and spotlessly clean, just a little noisy due to the acoustics. The noise was 100% forgotten when we saw the menu, excellent selection of steaks from over the world, we wanted to try everything. We had the croquettas of morcilla (blood sausage) and tempura of aubergine to start. The aubergines were the best I’ve ever had, thick slices of creamy aubergine in the lightest tempura, with palm honey. The croquettas were incredible, so light and delicate, a must try!

We then had the ‘parillia’ of 3 fillet steaks, cooked over fire, an amazing concept, which gives you the chance to taste and compare 3 pieces of meat from 3 different counties. I cannot express how good this was! Meat cooked to perfection, and so so tasty, beautiful garnish of salad and homemade fries with the skin on. We ordered chimichurri and bearnaise sauce alongside, but didn’t use it as the meat was so tasty.

I’ve lived on the island 29 years, and this was without doubt the best steak I have ever eaten in a restaurant here. I 100% would recommend!

Staff, including the owner, super attentive, knowledgeable and very experienced. If you appreciate very good fresh meat, cooked on the open grill, and like to try restaurants away from the tourist areas of the south, get yourself to Abrasa! Just wow - gracias equipo!

We have had a big plate of 2 kinds of steak (scottish, argentinian) and 2 kinds of pork for dinner with a fantastic bottle of red wine. It was the best meat platter of our lives, we had to go back another time while we were in gran canaria. The view from the balcony is spectacular especially if you go when the sun sets. Family run business, owners are very kind and easy going. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great bbq experience

We were recommended this place by friends who had come in 2019 and it did not disappoint. The steaks were mouthwatering tasty and an experience.

Best meal I’ve had in Gran Canaria by a mile. Steak was absolutely sublime, ambiance was lovely and relaxed. Owner was super knowledgeable and clearly proud of his food. Absolute must go for anyone on the island never mind close by.

They accommodate both local and touristic guests. Service is available in German, English and Spanish. Always super helpful, attentive and very kind.

A clear recommendation to everyone visiting Gran Canaria / Maspalomas, San Augustin, etc.

Turned up with no reservation, told we would have to wait 30 mins, got a table within 10 mins. Would recommend getting a reservation first though as we felt lucky that there was a cancellation. Staff were very friendly and helped with choosing our meal by giving us good information and telling us what was popular. Both steaks were cooked to perfection even when the other half asked for well done. Was expecting for the service and food to be fairly expensive but it was very affordable and totally enjoyable.

Waiting for a table was the only issue and that was mainly in part due to not having a reservation, so was our own fault and the restaurant catered as best they could.

Very good food and extremely good service! The waiter always fills up your glas as soon as it seems to get empty and the owner is super kind and adorable! Super good prices for what u get! We had a starter, 2 bottles of water, a super delicious burger and a schnitzel. I had an espresso and a grappa as well, besides the two shots the owner gave us for free and the bill was just 58€!
I will go back there the next days, for sure!

The view outside watching the sun going down, then the starters ,mushroom in breadcrumbs, they actually tasted like meat,aslo had brie in breadcrumbs I tasted them,again faultless, the main star was the fillet wow ,if your looking for excellent food and quality just book you will not be disappointed but you will be full and its not that expensive. The owner makes sure that you get the best service, totally without hesitation recommend .

For meat lovers and probably not only this is the place you want to go. A large variety of meats and burgers at least this was our choice. Really great food. If you need to try multiple things then go for 2 platers we had ranchero

Delicious and really reasonably priced for what you get. Sharing platters are brilliant - and the staff make great recommendations. The meat was superb!
