Albergue la casa del camino

Without a reservation this was a great find!
I was first welcomed by Daniel and his beautiful dog, and my stay continued to get better as the hosts agreed to accommodate my request for lunch (with local produce) and joined me in fluent English conversation.
The place is clean and homely, with a nice garden including hammocks. I highly recommend stopping in a night, it has to be the best Albergue along 'The Way' so far.

This Albergue was one of my highlights of the Camino so far. The food was super delicious and vegan / vegetarien friendly which is not easy to find in spain. The garden has hammocks, in which you can relax in and a very cute and cuddly dog. The owners and the staff are very lovely and smart people, who are really passionate. You get treated as a person and not like a tourist that has money. I highly recommend this place to everyone :)

Hidden oasis near León (NEW OWNERS from April 2023)

Next to the road, not that far from León is the auberge Casa del Camino. The owners are very welcoming and relaxed. You can feel immediately at home and enjoy their garden with hammocks and cozy seats. There is even a small pool setup.

The owners speak English well and are helpful with whatever you need. Don’t expect the standard pilgrims meal. Instead they offer the pilgrims the same they eat themselves. What was a lovely homecooked dish that tasted delicious.

The beds an showers are nice and clean. And the breakfast has everything you need. The owners run the albergue with love and with attention to detail. This was one of our favorite albergues till now. Highly recommend.

The hippie couple who run this place are legends. The man is a grand master general in League of Legends and his partner is so nice and accommodating. The place is... different yet their charm and service to pilgrims is second to none. Now I am a hippie too.

Without doubt the best place on the Casino, plan your walk to make sure you stay here, place is clean and nicely looked after.

Lovely owners who are friendly and generous, great evening meal with generous proportions. pretty garden area with 8 hammocks for relaxing and foot baths to look after sore feet.

PS lots of bunk beds with plenty of lower bunks for those who have to vet up in the night...!! 😴😁

Very nice! Big garden with facilities to relax, small swiming pool, a few bigger 1,40m matrasses (so arrive early:p) and good beds, kind hosts. One of the best albergues on the way. Recommended.

Great place just outside Leon if you don't want to stay in the city. Relaxed atmosphere with great hosts and facilities.

A warm, personal greeting and a “welcome drink” to relax in sunshine in the lovely garden, complete with hammocks! Cozy dining area and again, a personal welcome from the chef! Beds in dorms are more secluded than usual and a lovely option for us, as a married couple, is the double bunk bed. Heaters in the room make the room toasty. Clean separate-gender shower-rooms. Breakfast option is available early morning. The only thing preventing perfection is the proximity to the main road so some traffic noise when you are relaxing in the garden. “Buen Camino!”

New comfortable rooms, dinner was delicious and affordable and came with an after dinner schnaps. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. They didn't speak much English but we were able to communicate.

It's a good place to stay on the French way. The garden is lovely. The room is clean. The food is delicious. The host is friendly.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to San Miguel del Camino. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer. Such a nice place, delicious food and very welcoming staff. Loved it!

A very beautiful albergue and a lovely family runs this place. They are taking care for every pelgrim. You will see when you meet them.

Wonderful garden and peaceful yard with hammocks, lounge chairs, shade umbrellas and a pool! Everything a pilgrim needs to relax and recover.
