Great place. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. Always busy. Food was so good, kept forgetting to take pics. Well worth a visit, but book, just in case.

Best place to eat in town.... Very busy but still managed to be very attentive... Food great... Mixed salad... Calamari and patatas bravas all went down very well followed by tirimasu... All with blue sunny skies and friendly staff...

I was recently in Pilar de la Horadada for a week I am Cuban from Miami Florida and every day we ate at Bar Willy believe it or not I was born in Cuba I live in Miami and the best Cuban cuisine I ate at Bar Willy family service and Humid heat, thank you Elenita and Alex for putting so much love and affection into your dishes, so I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone who visits Pilar de la Horadada come and enjoy Bar Willy is my recommendation and make your reservation because it is always full.

Good food and nice spot overlooking the harbor. Try the Ropa Vieja!
Kids meals are generous sizes too.

Four of us had an excellent meal here, mid-week end of Aug. Went for dinner (early by Spanish standards!) and we were asked if we'd booked a table. We hadn't, but they fitted us in. It was dead quiet when we arrived but very busy when we left a couple of hours later. I'd been wanting to try Bar Willy for a few years after seeing good reviews. Loved the food! We all had burgers, they were huge and so reasonable. Waiter who served us was great. Looking forward to going back during my next hol!

The vaitors is very friendly and serviceminded. They have great food that taste well an a lot of food ro choice between.

Great little bar almost on the promenade above the marina. Popular at lunchtime. Great tapas, drinks & coffee. My husband said it was the best tiramisu he'd ever had Extensive menu, attentive efficient staff. Lovely 😀

This unassuming little bar/ restaurant truly has the best tapas in the area, and they are even priced cheaper than most.
Focussing also on Cubana and Italian influences, the ropa vieja, Bacalao a la Livornesa, Pulpo al Horno and the great gambas are to die for if you crave honest food .
I lust also mention that they serve the best Mojito on the Costa Blanca…

This place is really great, it's cozy and near the sea. You have a great view over the sea here. The service is good and the food is excellent. I tried the beef burger especial for 7 euro and it's huge and just wow. Really good food, I recommend it.

@carlosflores, @aliciagarcianicholas & @andreamorete below. We, and many other customers, were in Bar Willy last night also enjoying an evening of excellent food and very good service. Perhaps if you had been more thoughtful and asked the waiter if there was somewhere you could talk away from other customers, then you may have got a quicker resolution and gained the respect you feel you deserved. Instead, raising your voice with a waiter in the middle of the restaurant, interrupting the owner who was at a table eating and then blocking the way between the bar and the restaurant undoubtedly wouldn’t help. One of you in particular was clearly irate, but to post THREE 1 star reviews about the same visit, despite getting your money back, seems vindictive. Especially as you don’t seem to post many reviews 😏 It is also likely that other readers of your reviews will see three accounts of the same event and discount your posts altogether.

Great staff, fantastic food, brilliant location, you really need to visit, this was our first time but when we are in the area again we will be eating here.
