Basoa taberna

Had an amazing birthday lunch celebration at Basoa Taberna. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and presented even better. We ordered the croquetas and a beet salad to start, followed by the carrillera (which actually came out garnished fancier than the photo shows). Then 2 of the different paella options followed our starters. We also ordered all 3 dessert offerings although we wasted no time for a photo. No details of the meal were overlooked and not one bite was wasted. We even debated licking the plates. The waitstaff was wonderful and the owner and chef, Israel is a true gem of an human. He was extremely accommodating and was nice to see him coming out frequently to interact with customers. Extra plus that he spoke perfect English. The vibes at Basoa are immaculate for a relaxed but elevated meal tucked away in a cute quiet corner of the city. We loved the music playlist as well! We will definitely be returning.

An absolute fantastic find. The food is delicious along with a great wine offering. The owner is very helpful and friendly and the chef has brought wonderful experience from around Europe to the restaurant. A must visit.

What a pleasant surprise! Local restaurant with a young and super talented and friendly team. The food is spectacular and always ask for off the menu specials. Try a bit of everything and also the rice platters their specialty all is delicious! Israel, the owner and his team are extremely friendly and attentive. Thank you for the excellent and warm experience!

I absolutely love this place. We came before 1pm because we were rushed to get to the airport, they were kind enough to open the kitchen early.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the croquetas, salad russe, the arroz al pulpo and 2 desserts (chocolate truffle tart and lemon meringue tart). It was all perfect and so was the wine.

Better yet, everything was gluten free so this place is heaven for coeliacs, but my gluten-loving partner didn’t notice a difference either and loved everything just as much

Maybe because we came when it was quiet, but there was plenty of space for our 18 month old kid to walk around and they were really patient with her as well.

This made for the best meal of our holiday as the food, service and setting were all fantastic. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed ambience and feels more special because it’s off the beaten track. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, kindly explaining the menu to us in English. The trees over the terrace create an idyllic atmosphere. And most importantly the food was delicious - would highly recommend both the cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert!

Great place for food and picturesque surroundings. Bit further away from the main part of San Sebastián but definitely worth a visit. Service was top too, they had a large party in but still managed to squeeze us in. We will be back!

Hemos acudido por las buenas reseñas que tiene y desde luego no defrauda. Todos los platos, a destacar el arroz y los postres han sido una grata y deliciosa sorpresa . Sin duda vale la pena salir del centro y visitar este restaurante.

Trato exquisito y amabilidad de los empleados desde el primero al último.
Y además se come realmente rico os lo aconsejo al cien x cien.
Un arrocito y otras cosas realmente buenas.

Restaurante con comida SIN GLUTEN al 99%, tienen pan con gluten si se desea. Local acogedor, servicio impecable y familiar, muy servicial!. La comida ESPECTACULAR, hacen cambios en la carta según temporada. Pedimos croquetas de panceta y marisco, muy cremosas y sabrosas, la ensaladilla rusa con espuma de aceituna para llorar!, os aconsejo que pidáis mas pan solo para esta ración. Para finalizar hemos pedido un arroz cremoso de pato, boletus y foie para 2, te ponen el puchero en la mesa y te da para repetir tranquilamente. De postre hemos pedido pastel de avellanas y pastel de chocolate, los que seáis golosos no os vais a arrepentir con cualquiera de las 2 opciones. Calidad/Precio muy equilibrado. Volveremos sin duda a probar toda la carta cada temporada.

Nous y sommes allés pendant nos congés il y a 3 semaines.
Le personnel ne parlait pas français mais s'est mis en 4 pour nous comprendre et répondre à nos attentes. Le repas était franchement exceptionnel ainsi que les croquettas. L'ambiance est très agréable.

Maravilla encontrar restaurantes sin gluten con elaboraciones caseras.Croquetas buenas,destacando las de marisco,ensaladilla rusa con espuma de aceituna verde (saborazo) arroz meloso de pato,boletus y foie y postres caseros.Salí deseando repetir

Probamos las croquetas, la ensaladilla y los espárragos bañados en Bernaise. Israel ha logrado convertir Basoa Taberna en ese rinconcito mágico a las faldas de Ulía. Recomendadísimo.
