The plate of jamón. Tender, thinly sliced, the fat glistening in the light. Not too intense in flavour, not too salty, just enough to want more. Extraordinary.

The pimientos rellenos de bacalao swimming in a version of romesco, delicious.

Heard they have some of the best Jamon in the area. So we had to make it a stop in our pinxtos tour. Man this place was amazing. Huge selection of Jamon choices. We also heard they are known for their mushrooms, but we didn’t order that.

Very good prices, plenty of seating and wide open. They even had a big restaurant connected to it.

Recommend this place.

The bread and jamón was life-changing… bread a nice soft crispy texture, jamón nice and melt in your mouth. I’m from Australia so to have this again will require 24h+ of flights to come back :(

Authentic Pintxo restaurant great service good food.

Amazing!! Every dish we had was bellísimo! Absolutely delicious! The food came up pretty quick & the camareros were very friendly and helpful. Must try the Solomillo brocheta & the cheesecake!! Will definitely come back here next time we’re in San Sebastián.

We had an unforgettable dinner at La Cepa de Bernardo. The recipes were all amazing, cooked to perfection. I had a Pulpo a La Gallega which was probably the best cooked version of an octopus I have ever experienced, and I had a lot of them. The mushrooms with egg are also an exquisite side. Having said that, the restaurant is a little pricey compared to the other ones, and the woman that was waiting our table couldn’t stop trying to teach me how to say “Gracias” with tongue between the teeth, so we started a curious challenge every time as I was replying on purpose with the Mexican version of “Gracias”. Great restaurant though!

Very pleasant friendly restaurant. On one side is great pintxo bar the other white table cloth restaurant. There is delicious jamon iberico pata negra, great seafood, whole fishes well prepared as well as huge chuletas.

EVERY dish was better than anything we had in Barcelona, Zaragoza, and Pamplona, Spain.

The grilled calamari, grilled octopus, prawn skewers, mixed salad and Iberian ham were exceptional as was the service the the killer cheesecake

Highly recommend to any and all.

El temple of jamon. The jamon iberico is exquisite, melting of your tongue, doesn't even need any bread. One of my highlights of San Sebastian, highly recommended. The brocheta de solomilo is great as well. The meat is perfectly cooked and so tender 👌

This is my favourite place to be in Donostia. In the 5 times I have come to the city over the last 20 years, La Cepa always provides the best food and the best community atmosphere of real San Sebastián. Unpretentious, busy, noisy, good humoured. The variety of food and drink is fantastic. You can eat at the bar or in the restaurant. Service is experienced and courteous (especially to those tourists who may find the whole exchange a little intimidating at first). There’s lots and lots of choice in the old town - but La Cepa continues the tradition of the revered family restaurant and bar under its “new” owner.

Excellent and authentic tapas (Pintxo). Staff is nice. The ham is amazing.

This pintxos bar has the most charm and overall most flavorful pintxos od the old town bars we tried. Try the giundillas fritas and the black pudding. Cold pintxos were fresh and delicious as well.

One of the best spots for ham in San Sebastián (in my opinion at least!). Good spot that is open on a Monday afternoon when options are limited. Service is friendly and prompt. Would recommend.

The bar is usually full of customers and seems to be bustling with activity.
