Sanctuary of Arantzazu

We didn't go inside the sanctuary, but the architecture is interesting to look at from the outside.
It's in a very scenic spot with great views. There are many hikes that start from this place. We did the accessible Gomitzegi walk, which was pleasant and very well constructed but it was hard to find the start of the walk. We eventually found a path which starts to the right of the Goiko Benta restaurant, and the official start of the accessible route was a little way on from that.

Stunning location and building with amazing stonework and history. Read up before you visit, fascinating.

This sanctuary is high in the mountains winding road once you get up here its very peaceful and quite you only hear birds very beautiful

I didn't expect to see this type of architecture when it comes to Monastery. It's very different than the other ones I have seen, I liked it. Especially inside, it's very artistic.

One of the most unusual churches I've ever been to. Very interesting architecture, great location, free parking (right next to it), an all-around great experience! Definitely stop in a town of Oñati before or after you visit the church!!! That's just a stunning village, very different from what you usually see in Spain or even the rest of the Basque country

Am amazing place with beautiful scenery

One of the most beautiful places in the world! I live in the mountains of Colorado so it’s hard to be impressed sometimes visiting other areas. We stayed for 3 days and I wish we had more time honestly, the entire area has amazing road/mtb cycling as well as hiking. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and the food was great! We had almost 100 people there for a work function and they handled everything amazingly well.

The sanctuary itself is beautiful and we spent a lot of time just walking around inside and out in amazement. I can’t wait to go back next year! Here’s a tip if you’re still reading, get a room facing the mountain and find yourself staring out the window in awe at anytime of day.

Beautiful sanctuary to visit. The church is beautiful inside and out.

Beautiful place. Saw a very large bird of prey/ eagle on the other side if the valley. Had black tail and wing tips with a blad/ white head. That alone made the visit worth while.

Amazing place with Oiza's monastery. It is really impressive.
