Baztán Bar Restaurante

Dropped in for a bite and we were not disappointed. Amazing pintxos and the flan was simply delicious !! Great atmosphere too!! Really good prices. What else could one ask for??

Great pintxo place with inside tables. Perfect for the windy, cloudy day we had today.
The ordering process was great! You get a form, choose your pintxos at the bar and fill in the form. Additionally you can order from the menu.

The pintxos here are really diverse and you have a lot to choose from. They were delicious.

The fact that it was super busy at lunchtime should be a good indicator of quality food as many flock here. In this case it stood up to the hype.
Just marked down one point as wrong tapas came out.
Try the sea urchin, it was delicious.

Absolute Classic! So glad we wandered in on a busy night, despite many other bars being empty.

The Pintxos choices were plenty, the room full of laughter, the servers were helpful/patient AND also fun.

The ordering system is easy and understandable (you get a sheet of numbers, you go to bar look at your choices, mark down what you want. 5 minutes later it's at your table)

The ordering system was great here, it was clear what the prices were for the pintxos and you could take your time ordering on the piece of paper before handing it over to the staff working behind the counter. We found it the least stressful place in peak times to order.
The pintxos were quite good and inexpensive.

The service was very friendly ! Food was really good and came quickly.
I would recommend the spanish tortilla and the steak.
The cheesecake was also really good.
I would recommend going here!!

A hidden perl. Looks convincing enough from outside, but once inside you just can't leave without trying everything!. Each bite is around 2.50€, they are quite big.

Pintxos and tapas were iconic. They have at least 30 different numbered options, Ordering is fast, they issue a paper form to put how many units you want from each treat. The order is then prepared and delivered to your table.

The waiters were a bit stressed and act a little rude, but it is understandable from the volume of people being served. We also had to wait some 10 minutes outside for a free table, but it was very worth it.

Absolutely loved the concept of this place. It's so fun and at same time calming experience to be able to first choose all the pintxos you want to get, write the numbers down and only after that hand your order to a server. First of all, it gives you all the time you need to make a choice without any pressure(especially good for indecisive people like me) and you can see all the prices while choosing, so you don't have to guess anything. Prices range is extensive, you can both have a pintxo for 2.5€ as well as for 5€. Of course I would suggest to try some interesting and exotic ones, because this place has a wide variety of unusual pintxos.
This restaurant gets full quickly, but service is quick, so won't spend much time waiting.

There was more things to taste than anyone could eat in several visits and everything was excellent. I could finally taste the real anchovies as they should be served

A buzzing pintxos bar with a wide choice of dishes and a fantastic atmosphere. Staff are really friendly as well, even when they are really busy.

The food was unreal 👌. The waiters made the atmosphere so relaxing and fun. A gorgeous experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend 👌

Very good pinxtos at a reasonable price, friendly staff. Very busy popular with tourists because of the ease/speed of service and price. Think '100 montaditos' but with great pinxtos instead of cheap sandwiches. (You even mark your order on the same sort of little checklist).

Food was really nice here and served the local Cider. Definitely a must if in the old town

Lovely place to rest your weary legs and enjoy some pintxos and wine. Was a little sceptical as it seems to churn out food at a decent rate. The pintxos was excellent and would go again. It is very difficult to get a bad meal in San Sebastián, we tried as many places as we could, don’t be fooled by some of the “drabby” decor of some Pintxos bars, their food/produce is excellent.

I would recommend Baztán, but also look around as some places are cheaper with just as good (if not better) food.

Great place for lunch. About 30 different tapas type food dishes on display for you to select. Each dish is numbered and colour coded for price (2 to 4 euros). You pick up a paper sheet from the counter, pick a table number then tick what number dishes you want to order by their number. Hand it to the barman or one of the many waiters. Also order your drinks from them (we tried Sangria and a Red Rioja, both delicious). Food came quickly and each dish was a taste sensation. We had 5 dishes plus the drinks which came to £18. Brilliant.

This was a delightful experience. The tapas were delicious. They have a system (great for strangers without much local language) where all of their tapas are displayed (under protective glass) with a number. When you take a seat the server will come to take your drinks order and ask if you wish to eat. If you do, he will give you a pen and a sheet of paper with all the numbers on. You then browse along the extensive bar of choices and put how many you'd like if each numbered tapas.. If your not sure exactly what one of the dishes is, you ask the guy behind the bar who explains.. Once you've made your choices, you hand your sheet to the server, return to your table, enjoy your drinks and your choices of tapas are served to you at your table. You can ask for another sheet if you'd like to make further choices. Make sure that each sheet with your table number and choices on is included when you pay your bill. Excellent. The tapas were fresh, and delicious. The wine was excellent. Service courteous and efficient. Ambience very good.
