Pantà de Foix

A rather hidden but magical place. Easy access by car and plenty of parking space. Along the way up to the castle, there are several lively sculptures picturing the live style and traditions of the Alt Penedés. There are a couple or restaurants where you can get from breakfast to dinner on terraces with view to the Foix. In addition, you can go for a long walk through the woods either with your children or your dogs.

Space to park your car just off the main road. Then a pleasant walk across the dam to enjoy the views. Worth stopping if you are driving past. Allow 30 minutes for the visit.

Beautiful raw nature. This is not a park like most modern parks. The paths are raw which makes for an interesting walk, so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. Dogs will love it here!

Nice castle, today I was nobody in town. I suppose because the government call to people stay at home. One local say usually is a lot poeple

Great views from the top of the castle. I don’t know if you can swim in it in the summer bit if slowed it would be cool.

Breath taking region. Unfortunately it seemed that motor cyclists had taken over the narrow, windy roads so no walking around the lake. That seemed a great shame to me. Maybe we just did not have time to discover footpaths?! The lake is a natural habitat for many birds which were fascinating observing. Well worth a visit

Although the colour of the water is sometimes green or brown it is still lovely 😊 and from restaurant El Barretet you have a wonderful view.

What can I say. Wonderful, unforgettable and magic place in the world. Super recommended. You can even have a beer watching the lake and nature. Good for couples and family!

Tiny Shangri-la village in the mountains.

Small quiete place. Good to visit with family.

Such beautiful views. Great place to take good photos of the landscape! It is very well cared, not just the natural habitat surrounding the area, but the litttle village. It is perfect to go in the autumnal season, for the colours you'll find are beyond majestic. Also, take your binoculars with you and you’ll find a great variety of bird species as well!

A beautiful setting. Worth a visit to see the castle. And there's a nice little family restaurant right by the lake. Very popular with bikers and cyclists, due to the windy road...

For people who like silence and nature

Motorcycle small road with great views and not traffic on workdays. Police spot there but this helps to avoid accidents and crazy people. You can stop there with small tables or go to the Castellet and have a drink and talk in motorcycle Bar

Nice lake (more a reservoir than a lake but nice). Lovely short ride but beware of bikers- to many of them in the weekend!

Beautiful area, been before, great cycle ride to it. Wasn't aware the area/castle is a UNESCO site

Took late afternoon drive up fantastic road to UNESCO heritage site, great views watching sun set then down to the dam which you can walk across and it's Free!
