What a lovely area for a walk along the very long breakwater pathway. Too cold for me in January to use the mud baths but great in warmer weather. The views from the breakwater are stunning in all directions.

Pretty to walk around. A bit smelly from the mud but other than that pleasant. The mud has healing properties and is good to cover yourself , let it dry and then soak in the water. It's Free

Great experience! Took the kids down on a Thursday morning and it was relatively quiet. You will need to buy or take a bucket with you to collect the mud.

We had one of the mud platforms pretty much to ourselves - you go in, collect some mud, come out and then lather yourself in it and then wait for it to bake. Some locals take themselves for a walk whilst this is happening but we just chilled and enjoyed the views. You’re not supposed to go into the water on the other side to wash off, you just stay on the one side and then wash it off in the water there once you’re done. The water is very salty so it’s great to just have a float around after you’ve washed off.

There are toilets and beach cafe’s on the strip so we took ourselves off for a bit of breakfast straight after. Kids really enjoyed it and we felt great afterwards.

What can be funnier than watching people covered in mud walk about the prom...being the people covered in mud walking about the prom. We went prepared with buckets to scoop the mud up in & generally hoped for a laugh & the odd health benefit. The day did not disappoint nor did my mother's face on smelling what would be her only pamper session of the week! After drying to the point of cracking we went for a dip to wash it all away, realising at this point a sponge may have been a good idea, it does not come off as easy as we thought. Take old towels & swimwear as while it washes out it's not the easiest thing to remove & has caused staining. Warning unless you fancy a salt water flush of the irrigation type or going partially blind for a few minutes bring drinking water to wash off the face 😂. Personally I was extremely thirsty afterwards as it draws the toxins out & am glad I took extra drinking water. Bonus...ankles aren't swollen & ready for the next adventure day trip 🙂

Absolutely beautiful place to visit, lovely walks and scenery. More so when we are blessed with good weather. Plenty of eateries and places to just sit and watch the world go by. Got some nice shots of the pink flamingos as a bonus. We didn't do the mud baths which was in the same waters as the wild life. Plenty of steps leading into the water which contain the rich soils and to be fair there were a few actually covering arms, legs and bodies.

Beyond my expectations to how my skin felt afterwards! I’m skeptical to SPA and other things but after this experience I’m convinced that it gives result! My skin got so smooth everywhere I had mud on.
The surface of the water was cold but the buttom was warm! I don’t mean pleasant cold, I mean warm!
It smells a bit but the result was worth it! I don’t understand how others have been there 10 times and didn’t fell nothing. You must have doing it wrong for sure!
Bare in mind that there is no shower, just the sea across. A tip is that all the good mud is under and around the stairs 😉

A great experience. So tranquil at the Mar Manor Mud Baths. Very safe entering the water. Just let yourself float. Skin feels amazing when you wash off the mud. Loved it ☺

Fun, free experience. There is parking but difficult to find a space when busy. Kids wasn't sure at first because of the smell but then thought it was lots of fun. The water is a lot warmer than expected, remember to bring a container to collect the mud.

Great place to have some good fun & laughs getting caked in mud & then waiting for it to dry, but please do not wash off in the opposite water. It does ask you not to do this but plenty of people were.

There's a lovely long walkway with water either side. Great for watching the sunset. Loads of places to get into the mud. Not my cup of tea though.

A real experience. Walk into the water with your pot & scope up plenty of black mud from under the waist high water. The best pickings are under the wooden jetty. Back on the pontoon, cover yourself & wait 30/45 mins for the mud to dry in the sun to a pale crust. Rub off & finish with a dip back into the water. Your skin will feel fresh & smooth. A great free experience that is highly recommended.

Great experience. Such a nice water, hot on the bottom and cold on top. Never had this before. Very useful for health.

We always enjoy the mud baths. We took the bottom of a water bottle as a container to scoop up the mud. Best to wade out more than 10 metres before scooping it off the bed. Bring it back to the shore, plaster it on, wait 30 mins until it's dried then go back in and wash off. Also good to bring a flannel as the mud sticks when dry. Lovely soft skin afterwards and for free!

Have never used myself but seen many people using the mud baths. Many say they are beneficial to those with arthritis.

the mud baths are a short walk from the beach and are open to everyone. please just follow the rules as described so that you dont destroy the environment. Go for a bath in the mud pool cover yourself with the mud, be careful with eyes and mouth. Stay on the sun to let it dry and after you see that thr mud changed colour take a bath to clean. You will feel as new. After the mud bath you can go to relax to the hyper salty canal, be careful dont go there with mud. After you relaxed there go back to the mud pools to clean the salt as the excess of salt will irritate and burn your skin if exposed for too long on the sun. The place is well conserved and accessible to everyone, pleae keep it clean so that everyone can enjoy this natural spa.

Great place for a morning or evening out. Lots of platforms into the mud baths. Recommend taking some sort of container to help obtain mud deposits to then rub into your skin. Allow to dry, then back in to wash off. Natural exfolient and leaves skin feeling soft & smooth. Water is really cold on top layer but hot underneath.

If your going to the mud baths then allow at least 90 minutes if not longer if u really want to enjoy the benefits.

We went in mid August and didn't really think it was overcrowded in fact we were expecting more people there. We parked in one of the side streets near by so about a 5 min walk to the baths, which are next to the windmill on the sea front. There's a one way system in the town and we found the sat nav and Google maps weren't 100% in getting us there so u best to get someone who can read maps in help find a parking spot and walk the rest.

We took, with us, a used drinks bottle cut in to two as a scoop to get the mud out, though there must be a shop near by selling buckets as we saw lots of families brining the same buckets up.

The baths look like an large pond with wooden jettys in to them, the Mar menor is metres the otherside. The baths looks deep as the water is dirty but there about 50 cm at most deep. Using ur bucket collector scoop the mud up from the floor of the lake... Some areas of the floor have more mud than other parts.

The water in the lake is termed hyper saline... So try not to drink or get any in ur eyes as it really stings, apart from that it is safe.

It takes about 30 mins for the mud to dry on you and then back in the same lake to wash it all off, ur not allowed to was it off in the Mar menor. We also found floating in the water really easy, much easier than the normal sea.

Be warned that everyone using the mud baths will smell slightly of rotten eggs until you get back and have a decent shower!!!

As an added treat we saw the pink flamingoes which were wading in the mud baths but at the otherside.

All in all a decent afternoon out and better cause its totally free!!
