Well worth a visit. Very interesting and informative about the history of Gran Canaria.

What a fantastic experience! Plentiful information, extremely well presented and a lovely, friendly and enthusiastic staff. Watching all the videos and playing all the tests, I easily spent an hour there. The cave replica was a fantastic bonus, I loved the demonstration. I agree that there could be a small shop in the museum. It's a gem of a place, just don't miss it! It made me understand even better the spirit of this area.

Amazing experience of how the native Canerian people lived before the Spanish conquest. The reconstruction of the calendar cave is so interesting and the guide was so friendly and full of knowledge, he explained how the light calendar worked and the simulation was stunning. This is a FREE museum and I would highly recommend it!

FREE, now that I got your attention this museum transports you back in time. To witness the genius of the ancient people and marvel at their knowledge of the earth. The museum guide was excellent, his passion for history was infectious. He demonstrated the discoveries found in the cave and local histories. The simulation of the calendar year was captivating!

The best exhibition we have seen on the island. Very interesting information presented in a great way including videos with English subtitles and interactive quizzes. Helpful and friendly staff. A 5 star experience!

This place has a very accurate, laser-scanned, replica of one of the most notorious (nearby) caves in the history of the island. It includes a simulation of how the sun and moon shed their light through a man-made window in the cave into a series of symbols marked on it's inside walls. The replica helps preserve the original cave from decay, and the simulation of sun and moon cycles (which wouldn't be possible on the real cave) makes visiting this replica worth-it for those that might be otherwise disappointed for not being allowed to visit the real thing.

Fantastic visit, exhibits give a great flavour for the islands history. the Risco Caido replica is incredible and absolutely worth the trip. The staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful. Just super.

An excellent museum! A great place to learn about the history of the region and the inhabitants that have called the area home for millennia. There is a cool replica of one of the Risca Caido caves and admission is free.

Really enjoyable, best coworkers they explain everything not so hot there so you can hide from the sun, a lot of interesting news that I learned about Gran Canaria

I could have easily spent an hour here to take in all the multimedia exhibition. Unfortunately was part of a tour and had to hurry through. Very educational.

Great museum with amazing projection

Una visita muy interesante en Artenara para entender la historia de sus habitantes y los significados del paisaje. La visita es gratuita y dura más o menos una hora. Son muy amables y lo explican todo muy bien. La reproducción que tienen de la cueva del risco caído con la interpretación del calendario solar te dejará pensando el resto del día. Para no perdérselo.

Lugar donde sus empleados te ofrecerán muchísima información interesante sobre los antiguos aborígenes. Te ponen un vídeo y después se entra en la reproducción de una cueva de Risco Caído donde te 3xplican sobre el calendario ideado por los aborígenes para calcular el día y la estación del año.

Si te gusta la historia canaria prehispánica tienes que visitarlo
Hay una reproducción, perfecta, del Risco Caído original incluida la proyección de la luz que imita la solar y lunar y que marcaba la siembra y la cosecha

La visita guiada estuvo muy bien. Los trabajadores son muy amables y atentos y la visita es muy interesante. También recomendaría unas visitas que salen desde el propio centro, aún no he ido pero pienso hacerlo porque tiene muy buena pinta.

Visita 100% recomendable. Tiene una recreación del yacimiento de Risco caído con explicaciones interactivas. Es muy interesante! Nos atendió una guía que nos comentó algunas peculiaridades, fue muy simpática y nos hizo muy agradable la visita, quedamos encantados. Lo único malo es que reservamos visita guiada por internet y al llamar nos dijeron que la web no iba bien y no era posible la visita guiada ya que había una excursión de cole ese día (nos enteramos porque llamamos para preguntar, pero por internet teníamos la confirmación). Recomiendo reservar por internet y llamar después. Las visitas guiadas son gratis.

Estupenda recreación a tamaño real de una cueva tradicional guanche. Los guías explican todo perfectamente y además es gratuito. 100% recomendable.
