Refugio El Hornillo

In the middle of nowhere, but perfectly placed if you’re hiking the agaete valley. Good place to refuel before the last push to San Pedro.

The place is extraordinary. It’s definitely one of those places, where spiritual phenomena happen 😉 Regarding the tough surroundings it is quite easy to reach with a car.

The rooms are very clean and the host is very helpful and friendly.

Totally recommend to anyone, who want to experience something different than a hotel with a crowded pool.

Great place, in the middle to a nice hike to San Pedro or Tamadaba and with very competitivr prices (2.20€ for a coffee and nestea beats most of the bars). They have a lot of information about the hiking trails and the stafd is incredibly friendly.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this place. Everything was clean and of good quality. The beds were big and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was tasty and good value. He gave us lots of information on local history and tips for many excellent hikes in the area. This refugio is the best place to stay if you want to see the real Gran Canaria as it is situated right in the beautiful mountains. We felt very welcome, and I shall recommend this place to my friends. Probably my favourite holiday accommmodation I have ever stayed in. Thank you!

Endroit paradisiaque avec une vue imprenable entouré d'une grande et magnifique montagne et de maisons troglodytes.... Le responsable est très accueillant, les chambres agréables et la nourriture super bonne ! Tout ça avec un prix raisonnable, je recommande 👍

Lo hemos visitado unas cuatro veces, después de hacer algunas caminatas, comidas sencillas pero con mucho sabor, cocinadas por el dueño un señor muy amable que transmite mucha pas. No nos hemos alojado, aunque el lugar invita por la paz, tranquilidad y su entorno. Muy recomendable.

Verrassend sfeervolle stop op onze wandeling! Als we tevoren geweten hadden dat je hier ook kon overnachten, hadden we dat gedaan. Veel informatie gekregen van de eigenaar over de geschiedenis van het gebouw en de streek. Mooie foto's van vroeger tijden.

Solo tuve un café allí pero lo que puedo decir es que el lugar es espectacular. Las vistas son totalmente increíbles. Aparte de esto todo parece muy bien - limpio y la atención muy buena.

Un albergue acogedor, con vistas maravillosas y comida típica canaria excelente. Muy recomendable para hacer senderismo y descansar. Lo lleva Nicola, un gran cocinero.

Sehr schöne Restaurant und Hotel mit freundlichen Gastgebern. Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen aber in einen der schönsten Gegenden von Gran Canaria.

Bardzo miła obsługa. Warto zboczyć z głównej drogi, żeby tutaj dotrzeć.
