Pretty nice museum that displays El Greco's paintings. A stroll in its garden is also a good experience. Inside the museum is well organized, even Picasso visited here so you should too. 😉

Beautiful museum and they gave us free tickets to enter. Super interesting to see the part about Pablo Picasso visiting. Definitely recommend in Toledo!

El Greco's home recreation. Nice atmosphere. Besides the beautiful house, the visitor can see some good Greco paintings from the late period (mostly saints single portraits). Worth the visit.

Fascinating! The models for the apóstoles, were tenants from the insane asylum next door! Look closely and you will notice something is not right with their stare.

I have to give this 5 stars for its rich simplicity and authenticity. The house and cellars of the museum were decorated as if to take you back in time. The artwork is another added bonus to the museum. It’s not large but still is rich with works of art. I loved it and one Can visit, study, learn and not be overly tired.

Tremendous museum. We went in 2017 and I seem to remember that we had a lot of the rooms to ourselves for most of the time.

If you’re a Greco fan, this is a must go place to visit as it has a vast selection of his paintings. If you don’t speak Spanish or understand it, you will find it hard to understand any of the signage as it’s all in Spanish which is a shame. However, I would still recommend a visit. I believe you have to pay for entry however we were lucky on the day and we didn’t have to pay an entry fee

You can see the house, garden, and painting related to El Greco.
We visited there at the beginning of January, 2023 around noon.
At that time, there were not many people.
We didn’t wait for entering.
If you go to Santo Tome church, here is very close.

attractive museum in a restored house from Rl Greco times. There are also ots of paintings and even more presented on the screens. They even made a chapel for more authentic feeling. The garden is also exceptional attractive and maintained. With lots of tipical trees from Mediteranians. The personnel was atentive and good English speaking.

If you want to see something exceptional visit this museum. The art is just perfect. The garden is small, bit full of life, the overall atmosphere is just like a time machine, taking you back in time

I don't consider myself an art critic or even an art lover. But the history, descriptions, building, gardens and the displayed artworks made me a fan. A fair sized museum, I took my time to take it all in. I was surprised that I was there for over 2 hours!

An absolute pleasure to visit. This is a museum-house dedicated to the famous painter "El Greco" where he lived most of his live. It was free when we visited but I think standard fee is 3 euro.

Inside you can see the Apostle series which is an original collection of 13 paintings plus another beautiful authentic paintings of artists like José de Ribera.

Fantastic museum, and on Sunday's it's free! The museum is in the house that Greco lived in when he was living in Toledo. Very cool building, and there is tons of his original paintings and information about his painting style and those that learned from him. Definitely worth visiting.

It's worth attending both for the museum and the house itself.
I'm no art expert but El Greco's work clearly strikes an impression even with the masses.
You can visit it for free in certain days.

Beautiful grounds surrounding a small but compelling museum of El Greco's works. Historic site, very appealing.

Really surprised how good this was and was surprised it was free entry (this might be temporary?) Initially a beautiful garden and old house, it then just keeps going with more artworks and rooms. I'm not a huge fan of the style of Greco's work but the telling of his story gave me a real appreciation of him and Toledo. Excellent!

Definitely worth checking out and be sure to allow sufficient time to not just see the exhibitions and structures but also to sit in the courtyard and read a book, relax and while away the time a little. A beautiful part of the Jewish Quarter in historic Toledo.

Stunning museum. The staff were so friendly and the grounds were absolutely charming, especially seeing the traditional architecture and the paintings that made El Greco so famous. Well worth the visit, especially if you're in Toledo!
