Gran Hotel Puente Colgante

It's winter season lot's of vacant rooms great place to stay with great window view. The place is beautiful just got limited time to explore more.

I'm not a guest of this hotel. However, we got stranded in portugalete due to the renfe Semana grande services were cancelled and the receptionist made sure we got to Bilbao and worked very hard to get us a taxi sorted when none we answering / available. Muchas gracias.!☺

Just one night here. Lovely hotel, positioned right by the iconic bridge. Try to get a room with a view over the river, looking from your balcony is the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. What a beautiful town, and indeed the hotel itself is subtly understated grandeur and charm. Such a lovely welcome by two very friendly staff. Rooms are perfect, very clean, modern, and well apportioned. Can't fault, it's a wonderful place and I wish I had stayed longer.

Really nice place. Great location. Nice room. Comfy bed. Parking only available first come first serve basis so you may have to find a spot in a garage, as we did. Still....would recommend. Portugalete is a nice town with easy access to Bilbao by train.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful, quite atmospheric part of the city with it own charm and beauty. It has nearby public transport links to where you need to visit, but when you return, all you need to relax is near at hand. This Spanish area is friendly and accommodating, and the hotel will look after your needs.

Excellent hotel. Superb service at check in and especially breakfast. Very attentive. Breakfast was huge, many options. Room was good, a little small for three but good enough. Location was excellent right by the UNESCO bridge which you must ride.

A lovely hotel, perfectly positioned on the river’s edge. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We had a beautiful view of the river from the first floor. The beds were very comfortable although it would have been nice to have one large bed rather than twin beds. A nice alternative to being in Bilbao city, and only 15 min by metro.

Great hotel with amazing view! Clean rooms with a huge, comfortable bed. Unfortunately breakfast started pretty late on Sunday, so I had to no chance to try as I had to leave early. Good service!

Lovely hotel right on the embankment, friendly staff good food. There a few bars and restaurants locally and it's situated between the train station and the ferry port. We've stayed here every year for the last four years on our way back to the UK and have always been happy with it .

Puente Colgante Boutique Hotel is the restored mansion of a man who made a fortune in the Cuban sugar cane business. The hotel is centrally located in Portugalete facing the Nervion River and steps from the Camino de Santiago. We rested very well here and would recommend it to all.

Staff are all super friendly, shower is great, beds are comfy, everything is clean, and best of all - the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. Breakfast is pretty hard to find in Spain from my experience, so if you’re someone who needs breakfast like me, definitely stay at this hotel!!

We used this hotel travelling from costa del sol to bilbao. Excellent location. Right next to El Puente. Easy to find with satnav and parking right under the hotel with a lift to all levels. If you're travelling for the 1st time to the Port turn right out of the hotel and keep going - but give yourself 30 minutes to get there to be on the safe side. It was a pity we didnt have more time there as Bilbao looks a wonderful city. Fantastic views from our room over the estuary, staff were bilingual and very helpful. Room was of a good standard with mini bar. Car parking euro 16 per night but secure and easy to transfer your cases up to your room by lift. A definite "yes" from us... a hotel to which we will have no hesitation to return to.

Situated in the centre of the town, Hotel Puente Colgante is key for anyone that desires to visit Portugalete. Their staff is really friendly, accommodating and professional. Their rooms are all fantastic.
The hotel also has a restaurant that will satisfy every client that desires to discover the extraordinary Vasq cuisine.
They also have a bar and a great terrace. Their cocktails are truly fantastic, with a great selection of gin, vodka and others.

Located in a superb position on the river with underground parking which at €16 per night I felt was rather expensive. The rooms were very nice and the bar and restaurant were also very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

location very good. quiet quiet. i can say that my stay is one of the best hotels. the cuisine is really super.

Very nice, clean and the bathrooms have Rituals shampoo and shower gels. The staff was also really nice.

Very nice view from the window and the room was very big also the bathroom. Is not very close to the metro station actually but if like to walk it is not a problem
