That was an exceptional meal! Saltxipi served us a beautiful dinner this evening, with fried calamari and crab salad for starters, followed by an amazing T-bone steak, monkfish and hake for mains. The quantity of the produce and the cooking skills made every mouthful a delight. Coupled with some reasonably priced wines, this place was well worth the visit. Bravo 👏

Truly a gem! How is it possible that every dish they brought to the table was a delight? Every dish I tried had a very distinctive taste. And what did I try? Baked crab, clams in sauce, tuna salad, grilled turbot and last but not least, mango yogurt sorbet. Everything tasted heavenly! Even the bread! The waiters were very helpful and the service was quite timely. Well done!

What an amazing meal! Saltxipi Jatetxea gave us the best birthday lunch we could’ve asked for. We decided to try the Degustation Menu and Miguel, our great waiter, took us on a culinary journey with every plate and wine pairing. A must try if you visit San Sebastián.

Beautiful restaurant in a very nice and romantic setting. The food is amazingly fresh and perfectly grilled. I highly recommend the tomates with tuna, the Peppers, and any of the seafood. One of my new favorito places

This placed is owned by a passionate owner who knows how to best service his customers, and the same applies for the staff. We wanted to try several amazing dishes on the menu for lunch, so he pro-actively proposed to split some of the dishes on two plates (service!). We had the soup of crab (delicious!), the rice with clams (amazing!) and the hake which was served with some delicious clams as well. All dishes were paired with the white house wine which was very a very defined combo with our food. All in all, great experience and we highly recommend to enjoy this place in the beautiful tent in the garden.

Saltxipi was everything we hoped it would be. The Txuleta a la brasa was outstanding. The smoky flavors were absolutely fabulous. We also had the grilled clams, the mixed salad and the grilled hake. Oh, the grill!! All of it was beautifully prepared with large portions. The ambience was intimate and lovely. The setting is good for two, for business or for groups and they have a beautiful outdoor setting when weather permits. The owner/management/staff were so friendly and wanted our meal to be perfect. They also made excellent wine recommendations and had a superior list of choices. They were patient with perfect timing between each dish and attended to our every need. I cannot wait to go back. This is an experience that should not be missed when visiting San Sebastián. Unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant! It was a beautiful meal .

Amazing and tasteful food & service was impecable. This is one of those places where you seat and get pampered with incredible food and wine, and for a level of detail which is a pure excellence on its own. Indeed price goes along with the quality, but there is a pleasure which cannot be priced cheap. Highly recommended.

Amazing food. Away from the old town. This restaurant specialised in crabs as well as BBQ style cooking. Everything is lovely here. We had the turbot for 2. Cooked perfectly.

Saltxipi is located near a residential neighbourhood and is a stand alone house. The restaurant specialises in Crab and Seafood. The staff was extremely helpful and made sure that our meal was going smoothly. We did not order any mains, but just had a few starters. The crab soup and baked clam rice was excellent.

Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the personal of restaurant- excellent. They made sure that our experience in the place would be great! The second time we have our meal there and surely we will return soon!
