Fantastic tour and tasting (4 wines) of this small bodega. Followed by an outstanding meal, we had the 3 course with wine pairing. All in a beautiful setting with lovely staff. Highly recommended.

It was our 2nd time visiting this Bodega, this time we stayed for lunch… Incredibly fresh produce was used, we had the 3 courses which was more than enough food. The wine pairing is amazing value. Next time we shall book in for the 10 course!!

Service was phenomenal, I felt like I was at Scott’s in Mayfair… Just brilliant!

What a fantastic experience! We recently tasted a wine from Bodegas Bentomiz in a local restaurant in the UK. We found out that the winery was a short distance away from our family home in Malaga. We arranged a wine tour and 5 course tasting menu. Wow! We were not disappointed. We stayed at a local hotel (Cortijo Bravo) which we would also highly recommend. The wine tour was great and very informative. Wine tasting was brilliant, we tasted some beautiful wines. The meal was exceptional and took us by surprise. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff were fantastic. We even found out one of the staff grew up in the same village (Formby UK) that we live. A great experience.

Very nice and modern vineyard. Fantastic guided tour by a native English speaker that was passionate and eager to tell us all about the work they do and the process around their wine. We had the three course lunch which was fantastic. The food was of excellent quality and the chef was clearly loving his work. The red, white and rosé wines I tasted was not really my cup of tea, however, their sweet wine I enjoyed very much. I would highly recommend the whole experience at Bodegas Bentomiz!

A must visit experience!
Very tasty wines. Didn't bother with the tour, but if you show up late just ask for extra glasses. Food was spectacular!! Call in advance for a ten course meal!+++

The one hour drive drive up into the hills to the winery from Malaga is impressive. At the winery, the guide was excellent. She gave us an introduction in English to the winery and its Dutch founders, then a tour. For 17 Euros four high quality wines are sampled. Each are different and interesting. Three are dry, one is sweet. Another 8 Euros buys four slices of cheese, a few walnuts, a date and a slice of chorizo per person. Our group had 24 people in it. The tour starts on time so if you are late, you have to jump in during the tour. It lasts 75-90 minutes. Once the tour was finished, we left. It's not possible to stay and have a cup of coffee, others who remain are given a three or five course meal. There is no menu for the meal but the food appears to be high quality. This area of Spain specialises in sweet wine, favoured by the locals, but also dry wine is made, preferred by most foreigners. Afterwards, we visited two other white pueblos in the area and had lunch - well worth it.

After having a property in Cómpeta for 5 years, my wife and I finally found our Way to this pearl🥂👌the webpage for ordering worked perfectly, so we ordered a guided tour, Wine-tasting and 5-course lunch/dinner afterwards. We actually walked over the mountainridge from Cómpeta - 1h25 min up and down. By car it could be done in 20 minutes. The guided tour explained the philosophy behind Clara and André’s life project and the 80-100 year old Wine stocks. After tasting 5 different very tast wines -seco y dulce - we ended This beautiful Day with 5 very delicate and delicious servings accompanied by Bentomiz’ wine menu. All in all an absolute “must try”, if You are in Cómpeta or Sayalonga region. By the Way : The building looks amazing covered with Indian stone tiles in different natural colors, so from a distance, the building just blends in the surrounding mountains.

Had an absolutely fabulous experience here. From Nerja we caught a bus to Algarrobo - Costa and from there a taxi recommended by the Bodega. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly Rose and our tour got under way. Very interesting tour and the wine tasting of 4 wines was a great experience. We stayed for the 5 course lunch out on the terrace with tasting wines and it was incredible, both food and wine. The service was fantastic too. Would highly recommend a visit to this Bodega, a wonderful experience. Couldn't fault it.

The visit starts with a short explanation about the history of the vineyard and a bit of explanation regarding the vines and wine making process (approximately 20 minutes all together). Afterwards there is a tasting of 4 wines (2 whites and 2 reds; regular and dessert wine for each the white and red). I highly recommend the tasting plater of charcuteries and cheeses which is optional. All the wines (including the dessert wines) were light and refreshing due to the cold shock treatment used during the wine making process (further details) are given during the tour. The view from the vineyard is unbelievable since it's located high in the mountains. The staff is super friendly and they fully speak English. There is also the possibility to stay after the wine tasting for an optional gourmet lunch. Note that the wine tasting tour only happens once per day starting at 1230. The overall experience is totally worth the detour to get there!

We visited in June 2022 and had an amazing experience.

Rose the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed learning about the wine-making process.

The food was amazing and the dietary requirements we submitted when booking were fully taken into account. We tried fabulous foods we'd never tasted before and loved the wines too, so much so we bought some to take home.

The views are absolutely stunning and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Visiting Bodegas Bendomiz winery was one of the best experiences of my trip to Spain. The winery is beautiful and modern while fitting into the Spanish countryside. The tour was informative and you can tell they really have a passion for their wine and Malaga. We did the 3 course wine maker's menu, which was all fresh and locally made. The chef introduced each dish, and even retrieved some ingredients from his own backyard! The food was beyond delicious and the wine to go with it. Do yourself a favor and go!

We (me, my husband and our 12 year old son) did the tour, tasting and meat and cheese platter - what a lovely way to spend a few hours! The wine was delicious, we bought a few bottles to bring home. The tour was very interesting, perfect length of time, wished we'd stayed for lunch. A 25 minute walk from our holiday villa, well worth it! The David wine was particularly good, as someone who doesn't ever drink red wine, I was very surprised

We did the tour, with the tasting of 5 wines, and the pairing with meat and cheese. It started at 12:30 and lasted about an hour and a half. All of the wines were delicious, each with their own unique tastes. They gave a description of each wine as we tasted, along with suggestions of food to pair with it. It’s a small family type winery that gives a welcoming feel, and you can tell just by the staff the care and love that goes into each bottle of wine. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves wine and lovely people!

Fantastic winery. Parking is a bit tight. Wines are truly fantastic. If you miss a wine tasting, just get a glass of each wine and ask them to bring empty glasses for the rest of your party and make the white tasting selection yourself.

Simply Wonderful. Go for the full tour, tasting and 5 course lunch. I say lunch... You'll need the whole afternoon. Simply one of the finest places I've ever eaten at. The wines are wonderful as well. This is a special place.

Bodegas Bentomiz is all in all a fantastic experience. We had a wonderful afternoon which started with a tour of the bodega's grape vines, followed with an in depth and detailed guide of the wine production. Finally we were treated to a tasting of 4 of the wines they produce, you can also have pay to have a cheese and meat platter to accompany the wines. We decided to pass on that and have lunch instead, including the wine package. First class food, wine and service! I would recommend you go online and book, if you like food and wine served in a spectacular location, this is for you!

Great lunch, great wines. Had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. More pricey than most other places in the area, but very much worth it regardless. If you're around, this deserves a stop.

We had lunch on Friday the 20th. What can I say other than it was a wonderful experience. It was not our first time at the restaurant but it seems to exceed our lofty expectations every time. Andres creativity and passion for food translates to each exquisite dish and the accompanying wine is in perfect harmony. We tried some new wines and it’s difficult to single any one out, but I will say the Pixel was delicious and the Lobban Bentomiz special edition the perfect aperitif. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive and what shows is that they are fully on board with the ethos. They are a credit to the Bodega. We will be back.
