Fabulous hike course! It is an intermediate level (took me around 3h30m total). It is quiet rocky so make sure to prepare proper shoes! Oh and it is really busy on the weekend so if you want to park your car you better arrive early

This is a fantastic place to go hiking on weekends. There's a gravel road which takes you all the way up to the lookout points which have fantastic views down the valley all the way to Madrid in the distance. Walking is easy through the pine forest and suitable for all levels of fitness. Ample parking is available free of charge. In the area is an amazing zip line park for the kids to have fun called 'De Pino a Pino' check the website for prices. The place can be busy on weekends.

Great outdoor area close to Madrid city. Very dry this time of year ( August 2022). I’d like to see it during autumn or spring.

Beautiful park for a great day hiking. There is a bus you can catch from the center of town and just hike back down the river or up farther into the mountains. The paths were well maintained and the area is gorgeous. Make sure to pick up a map as some of the paths can be hard to follow or don't have a ton of trail markers. A little difficult to get to but worth a day trip from Madrid for a great hike.

On winter, better choose a guided tour. There are nice options with foreign people! More than beautiful place to wander and dive into the nature. Always check the weather before going and be prepared!

You should take a map and the right shoes - we did not expect the snow. Otherwise a great place for hiking with beautiful views.

Incredible place, loads of access points for hiking and trekking, beautiful scenery, only a couple of hours by bus from Madrid and totally worth it! We saw a goat, a few lizards, some birds of prey and many insects. Some trails are easier than others but there is a website that can help with that. You'd need about 4-5 hours to reach any peaks. Beautiful views, perfect place to spend a day!

Beautiful hiking routes. We took an easy route along the river, a few km’s out from the information center. They gave us a map and free info. They don’t sell anything to drink or whatever, so make sure to bring water and snacks. We followed the white/yellow trail up to a really rocky and slippery (it was raining) path and turned back there. All together our hiking was 2.5hrs and loved it. Relatively easy hike, some minor rock stepping. Could do it with my sneakers. Would not recommend with dogs or small children though, unless you stay away from the rocks. Bring a rain coat and remember it gets chilly up higher. Loved it and will come back!

We often start our hike from El Tranco and depending on the day and mood we have, we decide which route we continue to take. You have different routes and different levels even with kids. If you're fond of taking photos, you can find hidden lovely spots. Views are beautiful along the way. But as I always say, the higher you go, the more spectacular views you get. 😉😁

Wonderful and unique. This natural protected area has unique granite rock formations, among other beauties. To truly appreciate it you have to hike in for a while and of the beaten track - namely, the main access pathways.

Motor vehicles are not allowed into La Pedriza after 9 am, last I saw, so inform yourself well, get in early or be prepared to hike in with the crowds.
