Sacra Capilla del Salvador

Absolutely amazing, this is a must see location. The exterior is incredible and then you step inside, it's hard to describe with photos and words.

A beautiful and historical monument with stunning golden interior. Definitely one place to visit that must be seen in Ubeda.

Incredible 13th century church. The interior is mostly intact and beautifully ornate. There is a visitors entrance on the south facing side, but if a wedding is happening you can view from a distance for free😎. The facade has many detailed sculptures and motifs with a few gargoyles. Worth a visit and seeing while in the beautiful old quarter of Ùbeda.

Ubeda is a super, off the beaten path attraction in Spain. Our tour guide Andreas was fabulous and had a small tourist shop right across the street from this location. Do not miss seeing the recently uncovered Jewish museum in the town. It was a fascinating look back at history just recently uncovered in the last 10 years. We had a fabulous tour of an olive pressing facility in the nearby town of Baeza. This part of Spain produces 20% of the total olive oil in he world. Do miss stopping by to see the history and the olive works. Was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain.

This what one man acting as secretary to the king, oh so many years ago, cann accomplish through pilferring. The humsn statues are the best religious church statues I have ever seen.

Su muy ostentoso exceso te puede gustar más o menos, pero nunca te va a dejar indiferente. Es una obra admirable en la que intervinieron varios artistas de primera línea. Visita obligada en Úbeda. 5 €.

Cumbre de la obra de Andrés de Vandelvira, y ejemplo del esplendor señorial de Úbeda, en su conexión con la dinastía de los Austrias.

De Sacra Capilla del Salvador is zeer de moeite waard bij een bezoek aan Úbeda. De kapel wordt gezien als het absolute hoogtepunt van de Spaanse renaissance. Het hoofdaltaar is indrukwekkend.

Precioso , sobretodo si te lo explica una Guia . Nosotros contratamos la visita guiada de Úbeda en #ATLANTES y estaba incluida la visita al Panteón de D Francisco de los Cobos o Sacra Capilla del Salvador . Destacaría la reja que dividía la parte plebeya de la parte noble que está trabajada por ambos lados , El mosaico del suelo y sobretodo me ha llamado mucho la atención como “le otorga “el escudo de la orden de Santiago directamente las manos De Dios a D Francisco de los Cobos . La sacristía y el acceso a a la misma es genial
La obra de Andrés de vandelvira es impresionante

Es, sencillamente, expectacular.
Por fuera la fachada renacentista es preciosa, sobre todo me encantó el detalle de los cráneos de las torres, no lo había visto nunca; es indicativo de que la iglesia es un panteón. La torre es la más alta que hay en Úbeda.
Por dentro es una maravilla, pequeñita pero impresionante. El retablo es una auténtica pasada, de Berruguete.
La entrada es asequible, incluye audioguía, y la chica que nos atendió fue super maja.
