Fantastic new menu, 3 courses for two plus wine €45., really good!!

Service really good and quick.
Food was amazing, the meat was so tender and the potato's were delicious

We sat down here for dinner at around 930 just in time as by 1030 people were queuing for tables. The service was very good and the waiters were very grateful for us moving early after we had eaten. The food was mixed. We had croquettes and the black pudding tapas to start and both were excellent. The black pudding on bread garnished with a sweet onion salsa and covered in crispy onion was devine.
For mains we had the iberian pork cheeks and the iberian pork steak. Both came with chips which were disappointingly overcooked oven chips. The iberian steak without salsa was my mistake as the steak was rather dry but at least it was not swimming in garlic and olive oil. The iberian cheeks were very rich and filling but delicious. Overall a lovely dining experience. We will be back.

Came back here in October and wow!!!!! The service was out of this world. I felt I had died and gone to heaven with the best beef steak I have ever tasted in Spain. My daughter had an amazing hamburger experience which was in her own words better than any burger she has ever eaten.
This is a must eat place when visiting Rute. It's safe to now state this is the best dining experience in town..

July2020 my wife and I came here for our first meal out since lockdown and had our 26th wedding anniversary meal. We were not let down. Yet again an amazing selection of glorious cuisine. With a service that is so warm and welcoming. They took every precaution possible to keep your eating experience protected with appropriate social distancing hand antiseptic,sterilised seating and waiters wearing masks. Could not have asked for more. We are so glad to be back in Rute and enjoying Juanes gastro delights.

A lovely warm welcome was received on our return. The garlic prawns were divine and the grilled octopus was excellent.

We have never had a bad meal here. Everything is so tasty and so different from any other place in Rute. We can highly recommend Juanes. They cater for all tastes and the presentation is fabulous.

Stand out food !!! If you're after something special this is your place. Jauni is a fabulous host and chef I'd recommend anything on the menu to be honest

It's wonderful to dine at a restaurant that values gastronomy. Juan is a master at creating a perfect meal, from the very first night we dined here (which was purely by accident) Juan gave us a wonderful experience that has still left us dreaming about that night. We have since returned multiple times, all the way from Ireland, and each time encountering food that I would class as Michelin quality.

I understand there are many comments about time and people have gotten frustrated about being waited on but this hasn't been our experience (and we've come back time and time again). Juan offers a community feel that cannot be found elsewhere. Remember the times when dinner used to be about gathering together, talking and not watching the time, this is the place for that experience. Yes it can get busy some days, we've been on a Sunday when it's crazy busy and we've been on slow Mondays when it feels like the entire restaurant is just ours. If you're looking for a quick bite, maybe try somewhere else but if you're looking for high quality food and have the time to just relax and enjoy the amazing atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Extremely good food. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating chef (being a pain in the behind vegetarian). I'll definitively recommend to anyone wanting a good meal.

If you are in the Rute area, this is the place to eat. The dishes I've tried have all been amazing, the chef is not only excellent at his job but also super friendly and funny, and the staff is very nice and helpful. I often go here with my local friends, and will return soon again.

Fantastic food, highly reccomend. Shame we found it so late in our holidays. Executive chef speaks good English the food was lovely.
