Basqueland Izakaia

Stepping into Basqueland was like being transported back to Austin. The industrial-modern decor, eclectic music akin to what you’d hear at The Mohawk, and a striking tiger mural set the right vibrant brewpub tone.

I asked for a beer flight to sample their offering and it came as five full beers. Lesson learned.

The thoughtful bartender took the time to carefully note each beer's name on a tablet that look like a charcuterie board, big enough for normal-sized glasses.

My top pick has to be the Pot of Gold. It's not as piney as most hazy IPAs, making it delightfully easy to drink and gentle on the stomach - think Electric Jellyfish.

Of course they serve Ramen and Tacos. I didn't taste them, but they looked tempting. Plus, the kitchen seems to be open all the time, a rarity in San Sebastian.

If you're yearning for a break from the traditional taverna beer scene, try Basqueland and bring a friend.

They had a sign saying they could optionally add some spice, and the Ramen totally delivered. Great chilli hit. Wontons also fantastic.

One of the best places I've ever been. The beers are terrific and the food is too. Order a tempura gambas taco, you won't regret. I've rarely tasted something this good!!

Mmmm some tasty tasty beers here. After traveling for some time now its a great place to unwind and have some nom nom beers.good flavours, staff was happy to chat to us and engaged, we even came back twice in one day. Make sure you pop bye, grab a beer, grab a bao and relax. Boom...

This place is great - kitchen open late, good music and nice vibes. This place is top notch. Tacos were amazing. Only constructive criticism would be to offer soy sauce for noodles alongside the hot sauce. Will come again!!

Really appreciate the female bartender who was working entirely on her own on a busy Sunday night. She offered great beer recommendations, all of which were very nice, and was a huge help by ordering us a taxi when the film festival was on and no one else would take us. I’ll pile on with a 5, bartenders were great and when I asked for the best pincho bar within 500 meters they sent me to another great place. In some places they want to take your money and not recommend another business nearby but this place has a great vibe, super local IPAs and I stopped by 3 times in one day(not recommended)Enjoy!

Fantastic craft brews and delicious Asian food. Great service. A must when visiting Donosti!

Overall, very good Shoyu ramen. Excellent broth and good condiments. Would prefer if meat was sliced thinner, as it’s a bit more delicate to eat. Wonton and beers were great. Good service!

Will definitely head back next time I’m in San Sebastián.

We had dinner yesterday at Izakaia, delicious as usual but this time it was extra. We were lucky enough to get the very last daily special shrimp taco serving left.
If I were single I would wed those shrimp tacos in holy ceremony and honor their existence every single day.
I would tell them how sweet, how tender, how perfectly crispy, how juicy and how beautifully perfect they are.
Even after death do us part I would keep loving them in eternity.

Best craft beer and food café in San Sebastián! The most amazing local craft beers, friendly people and even my boyfriend who has a really serious milk allergy was able to eat an amazing dish here (shrimp taco's). Cheers to all of the staff!

Such a great find! I am from the US and love craft beer, and these guys do it extremely well. The staff was extremely friendly and sociable as well.
