Castle of Cullera

Despite the Castle of Cullera being closed, the view from the hill was absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic perspective of Cullera and the Mediterranean Sea. The castle's exterior hints at a rich history, leaving me eager to return and explore its historical charm in the future.

Beautiful castle and church. Is definitely a place to see and take your time to enjoy. The architecture is very nice

It was a very nice experience and we took beautiful photos. The walk us wasn’t too long only like 30 minutes but it was really great.

We went here on the 26th of December 2020; we’re fortunate to experience visiting this place with lovely weather.

Unfortunately, apart from the cathedral/sanctuary - the castle was not open to the public. But there is a long walk heading down from the right side to see other beautiful sceneries. So much learning to discover while enjoying the view, but do take note - no tourist guide available; perhaps you have a local friend(s) that can share you the story behind or else, self-research 🤓

Best to bring your food, drinks, and wear something comfortable outfits and shoes. Check the weather forecast before heading there. You’ll be amazed at a stunning view, especially when it’s a super bright and sunny day.

Recommended visiting this place to see another side of Valencia that's not too far from the city, especially if you're living within the Valencia city.

This castle overlooking Cullera is very visitor oriented.
Lots of active media panels which explain the history of the site and the town.
Easy walking around the castle with plenty of viewing areas and opportunities to take in the vista.
Some parking available.
Well worth a visit.

Beautiful view of the city and sea, free parking up the hill right in front of the castle, restrooms on the parking lot. For those who have problems walking up the stairs there is cableway that can take you up and down. There are shy cats and little kittens all around the castle that you cannot pet but they can make your photos better 😁 Also you can walk through green nature next to the castle. Recommended!

Nice place to visit. Dress proper shoes to go by foot up to top of the mountain. Not a sunny day will allow to save a lot of power😊

Beautiful ancient castle. Small museum inside. On top of large hill.. over looking the town below. Not a very big castle can roam all of it in half an hour. But it is a sight to see.

Spectacular place, to make a hiking route and beautiful views. You can see the whole city from the top of the castle.

Amazing experience. Everything is well kept and you can really feel the authenticity of the place. It’s a great way to spend a few hours and I would recommend it for everyone

Simple compared to other castles like the one in Xàtiva but renovated and nicely equipped.

Really nice place to have a walk from the old town up until de top, enjoy the inside castle and the panoramic views!!! Nice walk around, when you are on the top.
