My marvelous impressions from the bar in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria - it's not just about the delicious food and cozy atmosphere but a mysterious charm that's hard to find elsewhere. Stepping into this little oasis, you're greeted by the owner, who not only understands English but also speaks a mix of Spanish, creating a unique charisma in communication. The food here is just divine! The fried calamari I had was a true local masterpiece - comforting, fresh, with an incredible flavor. The Bar setting is simple, yet it exudes a special sense of coziness. Small tables add to the warmth and personal touch.
When you visit, you get a special feeling - you're part of what's happening in these quarters. It's not just a meal; it's an experience. My experience was so unique that I feel like it's a place I'd want to return to and recommend to anyone seeking an authentic local experience in Gran Canaria. It's truly a place you'll want to revisit.

Fantastic local bar restaurant. Food was excellent, good local dishes highly recommended. So good we went back 3 times.

A little down to earth bistro with its own magic. Specialized in octopus and squid dishes. The Pulpo con Mojo is a mush try!!! Suuuuuper good and special! And the people here are super lovely too :) The snail is also very tasty and special, much better than those I had in expensive restaurants. Plus a very nice location just by the beach, so pleasant to sit outside.

Great place for local Canarian cuisine or just for a cold beer. The people who work there are nice and friendly and make you feel like home :)

If i could give 10 stars I would.
During my 2 week stay, this is the restaurant we kept coming back to.
Every dish was so good and the staff is so friendly. May not look like "anything" but lunch or dinner here should not be missed if you're in the area.

Great place near the beach, excellent sea food, especially octopus with mojo source. And the semi sweet wine is also wonderful. 💕💕💕

Excellent value local seafood bar open since 1960. Does good calamares and octopus.

Fresh and unpretentious food. Order whatever you want, it's all good. Just make sure you get some chilli oil.

Best restaurant we have been at at Las Palmas so far. The pulpo con mojo, black pork meatballs and grilled swordfish were all delicious. Please also order bread with aioli because DAMN. Staff is very friendly and helpful (all food was their recommendation) and both chef and waiters go around the tables to do some smalltalk with guests which is lovely. Recommend 100%.

Excellent food. From the outside maybe not the place you would go to first, but the food is really good. The waiter speaks good English and is very helpfull. It is one of the rare places where i would like to give a score of 6 out of 5, but unfortunately this is not possible 😊.

This was my go-to Bar/Cafe for tea during my motorcycle journeys around GC.Staying nearby,Bar Casa Carmelo's menu was a delight.Goats-meat,prawns in garlic butter/sauce were my pick,along with local Canarian white wine.Waiter David is a great host,offering alternative ideas for dishes.He even persuaded me to try their specialist fried- octopus,which was outstanding.The two chefs were friendly ( none-english-speaking) characters.David even organized my taxi,to the airport,by driver Miguel,when I reluctantly had to return home.
If you come to GC,you have to sample Bar Casa Carmelo.No-brainer !!!! 10 out of 10.

The best tapas in Las Palmas! Only typical meals and everything we took was so delicious. Price are low compare to the quality of everything. And, the service was perfect! Fantastic team 👌✨

Probably one of the best in Las Palmas and off the beaten path. Small and totally unpretentious the focus is on the food. Classical dishes like Pulpo Frito, calamares rebotados, atún encebollado, ... If you go there once you may never want to go elsewhere.

Great service and amazing food. Polpo was next level! Stew, fish, Canadian salad, grandmas cake were as Well very tasty. Would definitely recommend

The best place in the city to try real local food. Seafood is amazingly fresh and tasty, don't forget to get papas arrugadas con mojo (local potatoes with spicy sauce). My favourites are gambas al ajillo (prawns) and pulpo con mojo verde (octopus). Very good price, so be ready to wait for a place. Locals love this place, what can I say it has been open for almost 60 years.
