Restaurant Can Xel

Smashing restaurant. It's enormous with lots of tables and a swarm of attentive staff. Really cheap menu during the week and 20-25 euro at weekends. You can start and finish a lot of walks at this restaurant and there is a big cat park across the road. If you're in the area, go here.

Food excellent, service super attentive and the traditional atmosphere for a restaurant with large scale!

Nice place to go with family with wonderful food and friendly staff. I recommend the cod fish "1000 leafs".

We went here with a Meetup group we'd been hiking with. There were 26 of us, and did not feel crowded at all. As a matter of fact, if we'd been the only ones there, the place would have seemed empty. Their upstairs dining area can seat roughly 200 at a time. ...and they were prepared with ample staff. We never had to wait to be served, or to have dishes cleared away between courses. They even kept coming back wanting to refill your plate as often, and with as much, as you cared to eat. Even the wine and water kept coming!
That said, this was a "Menu al Día," where all three courses (and dessert) were included. It was supposed to be €16,00 per person, but with all of the extra wine and the coffees (which were not included), they only bumped it up to €17,50 each.
The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was very pleasant. This place is a gem!

Only had a coffee there, but they seem to have good specialitity food there including snails. There are was a nice feel to the place!

Perfect for me and my wife who has a wheat allagy the staff were very helpful to help you we had a great 5course meal with wine and champagne coffee for 17euros a great catalonia experience

We had a terrific meal here after one of the nearby hikes. The menu of the day has a great selection. Service is very good.
