This hotel is a true treasure of the north of the extremadura ! It was delightful to spend 3 days there this summer. This is a peaceful, relaxing and soothing place, and each space of it is beautifully designed. The restaurant was a lovely surprise : the Chef cooks with many ingredients that he directly picks from the garden near his kitchen, and the dishes are perfectly executed. The rest of the staff have been wonderful, extremely kind and helpful.
This was a first time for us in this part of Spain, and when we will come back, we are absolutely sure we will stay in this hotel again.

Staying at this hotel was truly a beautiful experience. It was my first time in Extremadura and the owners and staff of Aqua et Oleum have done an amazing job to reform an old water and olive mill in the small village of Villamiel. The soul of the original buildings is there and the renovations are done around the original heavy machinery so you are sitting right next to a 12 foot tall centuries old olive press having dinner by candle light next to the fireplace! And all of the food served there was delicious and either comes from local providers or straight from the garden of the hotel. All of the vegetables are from the garden, and they have a big honey production in the area too so we got to try some of that! The people who live in the village had left notes in the lobby telling stories about their parents or grandparents who used to work at the mill when it was still in operation, and everyone seems to appreciate what the new owners have done and how they kept the essence of the place. It's also worth pointing out that it's very close to the open border with Portugal so we took a day trip there because we had never been. Beautiful villages to walk around, and places to have lunch with a view. The owners are also really involved in art and cultural events on both a local and world level, so they have sculpture and painting exhibitions in the main lounge area and that just makes it even more beautiful and interesting. I am going back to this place for sure and bringing my family. Big shout out to the warm and friendly staff, it was so easy to disconnect and relax with them taking care of us. Every box was checked at all times and there was no pretentious feeling at all that you sometimes get in hotels. Don't miss this place. There's only 8 rooms so book before the waiting list gets too long.

By far one of the best places to relax, enjoy very good meals, be pampered by the wonderful people who work in this old olive mill. Beautiful decoration and very comfortable rooms. Nothing more you could wish for in one of the most beautiful parts of Spain. Thank you so much!

Great hotel! Everyone was really friendly and helpful, we were even able to speak to the staff in German. The room was beautiful and very spacious, with a big bed and large shower. Only a few points of improvement: the pillows were quite hard and they could provide better info on the area around the hotel (hiking maps).

A totally unique boutique hotel experience. A great place to unwind and recharge. The attention to detail and architectural craftmanship make you feel as though you've been transported to another time. The hotel suite we stayed in was charming. The pool was beautiful and very relaxing with an amazing view of the Trevejo Castillo. The meals prepared by chef Ruben were fantastic. All the staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. We hope to return to this magical place soon.

Magical experience! Truly a unique adventure, a fairytale. Beautiful storks, and an array of all different species of birds circling as you take a refreshing dip in the pool before a walk or horse ride to the castle to watch the sunset with a nice glass of wine from the castle restaurant bar in Trevejo.

Fine art and exhibitions that depict stories and history of the region. Paintings and sculptures of birds, landscapes, horses, mythological characters and many various pieces by accomplished regional and international artists can be viewed throughout the hotel and in the gallery exhibition parlor.

Fascinating tours available to castles, vineyards, historical places gastronomy, art, cheese making, seasonal olive and grape harvesting.

An amazing experience words can not describe!

Unlike no other property, this off the grid Hotel embraces the Arroyo de Lagarto valley with stunning views of the 13th Century Trevejo castle. The old mill has been brought to life under a meticulous restoration and the addition of eight suites appointed perfectly.

The property was an old abandoned olive mill with a babbling brook running alongside, that was once used to press olive oil. Back then, the main structure was literally the place where they pressed the olives. When you see the giant press and mechanics which are still in place, you get a very real sense of the history. Today, the property has been preserved, restored, and reimagined into a charming hotel retreat in the stunning countryside of Villamiel, Spain. The rooms are well-appointed, with much thought, care and attention to detail. Likewise, the staff are highly skilled at making everyone feel right at home, has whatever they need, and ensuring your plans will run smoothly, just as planned. I can't say enough about this magical place and the people who make it all happen. There is so much to do and see in the area, as well. We can't wait to come back to explore more of Extramatura and the surrounding areas.
