We book the Experience through AirBnB and had a Wonderfull time with the host and the Donkeys. They showed us mainly the good things but didn't left out the bad thing without getting too emotional. They are not only a refuge but also they fight for donkey/animal rights and even won some law cases. They get things to change.
They know every of there Donkey's by name and know exactly wich food they need and what their backstory is. I think this refuge is the Paradise on earth for every living Donkey.
Hope to see you soon again.

If you need an afternoon out, or like animals, this is the place to visit. Donkeys are so humble and help you realize you should be happier. Been a few times and the site has grown with more staff to help. They need your visit more than another tourist shop full of junk.

A lovely place, the people got a huge knowledge and take really good care of the animals. Enough space for them and very clean . You should go there( especially when you like animals and/or got children ) and don't forget every (even little) donation helps. Will definitely come back for a few more hours.

Such a lovely place, the work these people do with rescued donkeys is amazing. My children love it here, the staff and the donkeys are very friendly and there is a picnic and play area too which is ideal for families.

Delightful sanctuary for old and mistreated donkeys. It is a joy to see the animals enjoying their well deserved retirement. Many seek out human interaction and stroking them is a great source of calm and tranquillity.

Very worthwhile cause. Euro2 per person donation to enter. Lots of donkeys, mules & horses, who like to be fussed over. Beware of refugio signpost outside church/municipal building which is obscured by the trees in front of it. You won't see the sign until you're actually on it.

Great place to visit for an hour or two. They are doing a great job cheap to enter and money going to help the donkeys. Much larger than the one that used to be ln Nerja. Although no pot belly pigs and chickens.

Great little visit here, the kids loved saying hello to the many donkeys. Just check visiting times before you go as they aren't advertised online.
