Nice garden with free entrance. You can decide to follow different paths depending on your available time or if you have children, stroller or other difficulties. In our case we visited the garden with our 2 daughters, it was a nice experience, especially the area with the waterfall.

The biggest botanical garden in Spain, the place is so massive and entertaining it honestly feels more like an amusement park for plants and nature.

The place is slightly inconvenient to reach by public transport but it’s absolutely worth it, and it’s all free. Spare a day for it and if you think you’ll get hungry make sure you reserve a seat at their amazing but quite packed restaurant.

beautiful garden for free. it's definitely worth coming. I do not recommend following the map because it is completely out of date and some of the paths are closed. There is no shop on site, but there is a free toilet

Fabulous public gardens containing every type of plant from across the islands.
The mixture of climate conditions, soil and landscape variations makes for the perfect site for the botanical gardens.
Wandering around the well designed and cared for site is an absolute joy. Both relaxing and fascinating at the same time.
Several of the plants and views are guaranteed to take your breath away in more ways than one as some of the paths up the steep hillside are demanding and even treacherous in places.
There's a little restaurant at the top of the hillside and carparks both below and above.
Amazingly, the park is free to enter.

A must see place in your first day in our opinion. We are not plant people but it changed our experience for the rest of our 7 days trip. Recognizing what we saw here during our trips was a bliss. So nicely done and organized, very rich park. Really helpful staff too.

A beautiful botanical gardens with free entry. The collections of palms and cacti is particularly interesting. If visiting however bear in mind that there is nowhere to get a drink in the park - it’s a good idea to bring some water on a hot day.

Cool place to stay for some 1,5-2h. Parking is also quite big . You should come here if you are in Gran Canaria. The largest botanic garden in Spain. It says something even this fact

Beautiful place, huge and peaceful. Organized in smaller sections, each one special in its own way. If you want to see it all, take at least 4 gozrs to wander around. Entrance is free. A true hidden gem!

If you choose the right time of year, this place will delight you. The garden area is 27 hectares, and a walk around this wonderful place will take you 3-4.5 hours and will remain in your memory for a long time. All plants have been carefully categorized and described, and there are over 2,000 species, including 500 endemic ones. Admission to the garden and parking is free.
I recommend👍

On our final day in Las Palmas, my girlfriend was adamant about visiting the Botanic Garden. While I was initially hesitant and skeptical about spending our time there amidst the lush greenery, my doubts were quickly shattered. To my amazement, the Botanic Garden turned out to be an enchanting oasis that left an indelible mark on my memory. This destination was far from ordinary—it was a realm of extraordinary beauty. If you ever find yourself in the vicinity, I implore you to pay a visit to this remarkable place. Its allure is not to be missed.

I do very much recommend coming to this garden if you have time. There is two entrance one of the require for you to walk down the hill and then up and the other one is directly down so you don't have to walk up the hill. There are nice clean free bathrooms. There is no place to buy food and drinks so come ready. :) The garden are big, clean and beautiful and the entry is free.

We were on an organised tour which only stopped for about 45 minutes so didn't get to see everything but mainly concentrated on the cactus area which is close to the entrance. Very impressive selection and easy walking distance.

Such a great find, this museum. You get a guided tour with a very friendly guide (ours was JC) who explained the whole lifecycle of the banana plant in a fun way.
Afterwards there is a tasting of different kinds of food and drinks.

Loved the Botanical Gardens! We entered at the top and wove our way down the paths along the hillside, to the bottom, through fascinating flora, and the sounds of birds. There are interesting sculptures, a fountain where the wise men behind the gardens and the study of indigenous flora are commemorated, special groupings of plants from other places (including a fascinating collection of palm trees), waterways, and good signage. I absolutely recommend taking the time to visit the gardens!

Visit here is a must! Fact is you can spend here an entire day and it is absolutely free. I am not sure how? The staff is super friendly and they maintain this place very well, even though it is huge! Bathrooms are clean and the atmosphere is very nice. Grab a picnic and make it a day of it, you won't be sorry!

Nice garden a short drive from LP GC. looks a bit like a shrub land upon arrival but nice to walk round and see all the native and imported plants - and is free!

This is well worth a visit. Located not too far outside Las Palmas This is basically a cultivated high sided and wide ravine landscaped with pathways. There are numerous plants and trees, the most recognisable being various types of palms to the highlight, which is a cactus garden. The walk around the entirety of the gardens includes some steep steps and high-level pathways that provide some great views over the ravine and gardens. Depending on your pace and what you might stop to look at, give yourselves maybe half a day to include any picnic you might take (we took one on the advice of other reviewers...although there is apparently a restaurant which you can review seperately on maps).
On the practical side, we travelled out of Santa Catalina bus station on the Global 301 costing €2.90 for 2 (one way about 35 mins). The bus drops you at a high-level entrance (which we took), or I believe at a lower level as it makes its way to the nearby village of Tafira and beyond to St Brigida. Entrance to the gardens are remarkably free. We visited on a Monday in mid-January 2023 to give you an idea of timing. There were a smattering of folk wandering the gardens however it was by no means full of tourists, being somewhat off the beaten track (although can't account for other times in the year). Plenty of pics included in reviews..I've posted more for good measure). If you like plants and tranquility...enjoy.
