Visitando la Catedral no deja de pasar desapercibido el claustro que hay a la parte opuesta de la puerta de acceso. El claustro pertenecía al convento de la Merced, cosas que pasan en estos vida, el claustro del convento fue anexionado en el año 1942 a la Catedral. El se puede ver y visitar si pasamos por este lugar, aparte de verlo y fotografía, a escasos metros hay una cafetería con terraza en la calle, disfrutamos 2 veces del claustro, primero visitándolo y haciendo fotos, la otra nos sentamos en la terraza de la cafetería y teníamos como acompañante parte del claustro, las fotos no fallan.

El Claustro de la Catedral de Orihuela es uno de los espacios más emblemáticos y de mayor belleza de la ciudad. Se trata de una obra renacentista procedente del antiguo Convento de la Merced, donde fue construido hacia 1560 por Hernando Veliz.
