Restaurante Bar El Surtidor

We've been here a couple of times in the past and stopped here for lunch. Had the Plato Alpujareno which came with a massive, inch thick pork chop instead of the usual slice of pork loin. Very tasty and at 16 euro represented good value. The place had upped it's game and was busy for a Thursday lunch sitting.

One of our favourite 'go to' restaurants. Menu del día, varied and excellent, generous portions. I just love the grilled liver. Weekends it's best to reserve a table, although we have always managed to get one without booking, it is always very busy.

Traditional Andalusian restaurant. Excellent food portions, good friendly service. We have visited many times over the years as it is our favourite place. Yesterday our party of four were looked after well and we will be returning again soon.

Great place for a meal while traveling. Good menu with some local dishes. Sopa ajo blanco, is warm not a cold soup and is very different but very good all the same. Very busy with Spanish always a good sign.

El Surtidor, along the old road from Motril to Granada, is a great place to stop off at after a day at the beach. The view of the Sierra Nevada's imposing foothills from the restrant's terrace is spectacular in itself. The menu is varied with a great selection of grilled meat and fish. The service was impeccable. We ordered a few "raciones" that were delicious and enjoyed the sunset in a mountain setting.

Excellent quality - bar almost too much fish for a lunch on way back from shopping in Motril (we live in Orgiva). Very popular with local residents.

Te recomiendo carne de choto. El plato para dos está muy bien. Un postre de 10.. el calostro.
