What a fantastic recommendation we were given, made to feel very welcome by the very friendly owner and staff.
We took the patrons recommendation of the daily Tapas of seasoned tomato followed by chorizo and pepper with for main course pork, lamb, zucchini and saute potatoes followed by chocolate mouse, almond mouse, mango sorbet and plum ice-cream followed by muscatel.

This restaurant had everything for me. Everything ( really everything, even the olive oil, wine, etc ) was home made. The food was surprising and delicious! The personnel was very friendly and the atmosphere was amazing! 5 stars because of several wow-factors!

This is THE PLACE to visit in LPA, we literally adore this place, their food, their atmosphere and specially the decor.
Little background: I had lived in over tens of countries and most of the biggest capitals in the planet. Have eaten in food trucks and many many Michelin star restaurants and in some of the 50 best bars in the world.
Now we live here and we have an holiday accommodation business and we always visit places to recommend places to our quality guests, and here is the place where you will find quality, amazing service and definitely not the efin’ “papas arrugadas” that I’m sick of it! Here you will find great authentic canarian food without been fooled by the cheap normal restaurant where your will eat poor quality, also the extensive amount of wines this place has is second to non! Don’t spect to be seated at the drop of a hat! This is a place to slow down, relax enjoy a nice glass of wine while you wait to be seated and that is their ritual and I thoroughly love it and it’s how show be a restaurant.

Highly recommend this place

Stopped by as it looked like interesting place on our route. So fun interior worth a visit. Food was of good quality. But tomato’s with olive oil and vinegar for 8 was comparatively expensive. Some of the other dishes was more resonantly priced. we had egg and ham, mushroom and ham. And 2 deserts. And got a small plate of cheese and a sweet aperitif in the house.. One dish was forgotten, my tea order became a cappuccino. So Sevice was friendly but not great. They have a big dining room downstairs for 100+ people with 2 fireplaces. And smaller rooms upstairs with the bar. Do wonder around to look at the décor. I would come again! Probably the best quality food we had on the island.

The best wine museum...can't believe the cellar has more than thousands of wine from 1970s....

You can also see 1400 year wine cask

Coming from Roque Nublo we passed by this restaurant and decided to have lunch here. What an amazing place, especially the food! I had the zucchini in figue sauce and it was one of the best dishes I ever had! Also the other dishes we had were wonderful. The place exists for many many years and the owner let us take a look in the historical basement with wine cellar, amazing place!
If we ever go back to Gran Canaria we definitely will go here again!

We arrived quite late, as we had watched sunset on Roque Nublo.
The restaurant turned out to be empty and they were just closing up, when we entered the place.
However, the waiter still offered us a table (despite us asking whether it was really no hassle for him to stay open) and gave us a tour through the menu. He recommended two dishes which are very local, freshly (and quickly) made, which we took him up on.
We got the Chorizo with a plum sauce, bread and a dish made of eggs mainly. As simple as the food was, it tasted fantastic and we were thankful to be let in at the late hour we arrived at.

An excellent diner in a surprising place alike a museum but with a family touch. All products were local, of high quality and well arranged. Thank you Tonio for the excellent wine selection and recommendation.

This was a random stop for us that turned out to be one of the best meals we have ever had. From start to finish, simply amazing. Great, helpful and friendly services. We had the chorizo, lamb, olives, mushroom heads, medium cheese, zucchini with sweet fig sauce. Great wine. Worth the trip out of town to catch this gem.

A lovely place with incredible historical & cultural heritage, delicious treats (I highly recommend trying the banana mousse:) and the most friendly owner - Mr Martell - who represents the 5th generation running the restaurant. Great experience! :)

Quite simply exquisite food and unique dining experience. If you don't mind the owner telling what to order and what not to order, you'll be fine. He leads you to the best dishes and is confident you'll love them.

Wow, what a find. This unassuming restaurant is an Aladdins cave of antiquities from 5 generations of the Martell family. The food is delicious, the service friendly and our favourite place to eat while in Las Palmas. Recommend the lamb with courgettes in fig sauce.

been here twice. first time had the suggestion of the chef, which was absolutely very nice and very tasty, full of flavour. second time, a la carte, and again superb flavours. when you are in the neighbourhood you should definitely go here. mind you, it is local food... but oh so good

Cool old restaurant with friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious. Not too many veggie options for main course though, but definitely some good starters (lentil soup).

Delicious tasty food! traditional and sofisticate, great wine selection, staff is really helpful and passionate. I recommend to follow their advices and take a selection of dishes from the region, it was so good: grilled mushrooms, chorizo with amazing sauce, the slow cooked lamb and the calabazin and figs which go amazingly together . we had a wonderful time

Probably one of the best place to eat in Gran Canaria. The staff is very pleasant. You'll eat specialties from the house and almost everything is homemade (even the wine !).
