Parrilla Txuleta

Wow, great tasting tapas. Our friend recommended Txuleta for the tapas and they didn't disappoint. Together with Kbzon at the other end of the beach, excellent tapas and with tables and chairs to enjoy!

Thanks to Mario for helping us Aussies patiently order in English (lol, with French). Menus are available in French and English from the behind the counter. We had:
* Foie plancha - the best in Spain
* Croqueta de txipiron (squid) - authentic and tasty
* Pimiento de rabo - wow, wow, wow - peppers stuffed with oxtail - amazing
* Brotxeta de corder - skewers of lamb served with fries - succulent
* Croqueta jamon
* Bottle of Lan (red wine)

Served quickly but enjoyed slowly with wine. Highly recommended.

Traditional pintxo bar packed with locals, which is always a good sign. We absolutely loved the vibe here. The staff couldn't really speak English, but ordering and getting recommendations wasn't a problem. They were all really friendly. The experience here is very authentic. Your orders will be yelled out when ready, used paper napkins are thrown on the floor, and Txakoli poured into glasses from up high without a single drop spilled. The pintxos tasted amazing, and the wine pours were very generous. We'll definitely be going back for another round before we leave San Sebastian.

Nice pick if you want to try some of the best plates from the Basque Country.
We ate langostinos, almejas, huevos rotos, pimientos rellenos de txangurro, txuleton (2kg) for 4 people. And also handmade cheseecake and pantxineta. All of it was delicious! For sure I would repeat and 100% recommend this restaurant. The only but will be that the covered terrace was too hot due to poor air conditioning which could be improved.

Absolutely tasty, but price of txuleta getting quite high now…..

This place has not only amazing food, but amazing service as well. Even though we did not have reservations and were a party of five, they were able to squeeze us in. I would sincerely suggest making reservations beforehand, to avoid being turned away. The steak was sublime, and the waitress was kind enough to take half back and cook it further for our children who do not enjoy the rare cooking style of Chuleta. Our visit was excellent, and we would suggest that you pay this place a visit.

The restaurant inside this bar is superb. We got the Iberico jamon, ham croquettes (not shown), peppers with cod (sadly, not shown), and a T-bone steak.
Everything was mind-blowing. We ate the peppers with cod faster than I could take a picture of it 😂. The steak was absolutely brilliant. The meat quality was fantastic. This steak was rare and yet, melting in your mouth, having nice texture on the outside.

The front of the restaurant is brilliant as well - their pintxos are insane. Try the foie gras and try their various croquettes. Yum!

Definitely a great place for dinner. Wife had mushroom risotto for appetizer and loved it. She wasn't a fan of the monkfish, but that was a personal preference thing. I had a wonderful tomato salad. Service was very good. May need to make reservations on some nights as it gets busy. Would definitely recommend! Oh, and rice pudding for dessert was awesome end to the meal!

A busy bar/restaurant with a traditional menu. It’s difficult to get a table but you don’t need one. Great steak, good drinks, nice staff.

Crowded place which seems to be a hit with the locals! The pintcho de txuleta (aka as steak on a stick) is a must and might come back to basque country just those!

One of the best T-Bone steaks if have eaten in Spain. Highly recommended if you like quality meats and accompanied with a good Rioga wine.

Everything was excellent! Had steak, padron peppers, red peppers and garlic prawns. All super tasty!

Perfect spot for classic Basque small plates. Foie and oxtail pepper were our favorites.

This is a highly recommended restaurant which serves meat that literally melts in your mouth. If you want a side order you won’t be disappointed with the tuna and white asparagus. The service is impeccable and staff very friendly.

Was abit annoyed because we had the table next to the kitchen but WOW!!!
