Al Khal Egyptian Restaurant

Didn't stay at hotel or make a reservation for the restaurant. They accepted us as walk-ins and it was fairly quiet at 7:30pm on a Thursday night so we were served fairly quickly.

Great service and attention from the waiters. They were accommodating to not only just us but other restaurant goers as well and ensured everyone felt comfortable and welcome.

Food was spectacular. Absolutely no complaints. Very high quality and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the molokhia (spinach-based 'soup') — very hearty and it gets made in front of you right next to your table!).

We spent about E£500-600 per person with two dishes and a mocktail each. This restaurant is worth every penny. Perfect way to try Egyptian delicacies in a fine dining setting. They take both cash and card.

First experience of some scrumptious Egyptian fare at this restaurant. Full marks to Yasser in stopping going crazy tasting the fare from the menu. We were firmly guided towards ordering just right. Excellent waiting at the table by Amr. I was very impressed and this restaurant is highly recommended by us.

Firstly, to avoid confusion, this place is located inside the Intercontinental Hotel, not inside the shopping centre.
5 stars for the staff being super friendly and provides excellent hospitality.
Soup was average, appetisers were good and main course was amazing.
Cutlery, dishes and utensils caught my eyes as reflecting Egyptian culture.
Try the Turkish/Egyptian coffee here too.
Highly recommend giving this place a go.

Place was legit, food came fast and the staff worked liked a team. Very respectful and their indoor seating with a/c. Mango juice was fresh and refreshing. My dish (Ox Tail) was on point. Not lying, I’m coming back when i stop over in Cairo again.

Our group ate at this 5 star restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff was prompt with every request. Management made sure that everything was to our liking because we were unsure of what to order. This restaurant is a must if you are staying at the Intercontinental Cairo Citystars hotel. Our bill was just over $100USD for our party of 5. We will definitely return.

Outstanding. Couldn't be better. Amazing Egyptian food, good portion sizes, delicious flavours, exceptional service. 100% worth coming here. We are coming back for sure.
We had one of the green leafy salads, babaganoush, the messaka, and few other things. Bread and dips were great, freshly baked and made. Dessert was incredible and the hibiscus wine was divine.

Its a wonderful place ,we had a lovely time and enjoyed the food and the music 🎶 Asmaa and Emad and everyone are very welcoming and friendly .

We had a great lunch before heading home. We had the roasted pigeon and BBQ lambs. They were very good.

Wonderful Egyptian restaurant experience to start off our trip in Egypt. The Egyptian food was incredibly delicious. The staff the chefs all came to our table with wonderfully prepared & presented culinary delights. Lead by Ahmed ( manger) servers Mohammed and Gharmal made our night truly a dinner fit for the Pharaohs of Egypt. We will return. Many thanks to all.

Open air but covered. Lovely on a May evening, Great atmosphere and decor. Nice live music. Our food was delicious. Amr and Mohammed provided friendly, professional and attentive service.
