Sakkara Restaurant

On the trip to the Step Pyramid or the Pyramid of Zoser/Djoser, in Sakkara we stepped into this wonderful restaurant in Sakkara, for lunch.
This seems to be a very popular place, both for tourists and the local population.
We opted for the standard lunch, which was pretty filling. The eggplant dish was wonderful with fresh hot bread, so was the plate of rice with kebabs and grilled vegetables.
The service was excellent, with polite, helpful and smiling staff. Flowers were everywhere with honey bees flying around.
The washrooms were also clean, airy and well maintained, and totally separate for men and women.
We left the restaurant with warm bellies and big smiles!

We are lunch here in 2017. The bread was baked just outside the restaurant and was the best I ever ate. We will visit again.

Almocei neste restaurante devido a um passeio que compramos (que já tinha o almoço incluso) e o guia nos levou nele. Experimentamos pães árabes, tahine, e um churrasco delicioso! Amei! Recomendo!

Angenehmes, typisches und lokas Restaurant. Speisen waren frisch geschmackvoll.

Restaurant inclus dans le parcours entre les pyramides de Gizeh et la nécropole de Saqqarah. Le pain traditionnel est cuit sur place pendant le service.

Restaurante con terraza cubierta en un jardin bastante agradable y adornado en plan oasis, hay una mujer que te enseña como hace el pan en el horno tradicional que tenian todas las casas, los entrantes que ponen estan muy ricos sobretodo la berenjena y el humus, hay otro que lleva coliflor y otras verduras frias pero cuidado que pica bastante, tambien pedimos carne y pollo a la brasa con patatas que estaba bastante bueno, solo pagamos las bebidas, que no fueron caras, porque la comida estaba incluida en el viaje que era organizado.

A place for tourists. Food is good but the price is too high. I saw a waiter and a tour guide exchanging cash at the entrance. Not sure if tour guide will get commission on bringing customers in.

Ordered a set lunch of chicken and beef Kebabs. It also comes with the Egyptian salad. But drink is not included. A can of soda is $2 USD and the set lunch is 500 Egyptian pounds per person.

Pranzato in due per merito di un tour alle piramidi di Saqqara/Dashur. Ambiente mediocre e cibo medio-buono (non tutto).
Il servizio dei ragazzi era buono e cordiale, ma gli viene ordinato di essere insistenti sulle bevande, ovviamente perché escluse dal pranzo a costo fisso. In generale il padrone è molto fastidioso e arrogante (ci ha chiesto la mancia e giudicato la quantità di essa). Ultima osservazione, anche nel bagno del locale erano pronte persone a pretendere la mancia, pazzesco.
40LE una bottiglietta di acqua .

Ordered a plate of chicken tikka and two mango juices costing 750 EGP or 15 USD. Too high priced. Not worth.
