Amazing place to eat! Loved everything there from a piece of cake and black coffee to grilled vegetables salad. The atmosphere is so cozy, definitely family friendly and lovely sincere service. Additionally a small souvenir corner with honey and other nice things.

I liked the slow-cooked lamb, the soup not for 8 euros, the wine is also not very good, the service is good, the terrace is great

Friendly staff, excellent location right across the road from the Suur Munamägi observation tower. The wild boar was very tasty as well. Family friendly with plenty of space for kids to run around out back.

What an experience!
This place that calls itself “kohvik” in a very modest way is a real masterpiece that owners created with their love and dedication. It’s a family restaurant, with the prices of cafe and the amazing service that is so rare to find and hence the more valuable.
The atmosphere, the details in the interior, the quality of food!! (dishes are made from local farmer products, and you can hear even the story of real person behind each ingredient, amazing!)
“We do it not for profit but for fun”, they said, and believe me you will totally feel it!

Haanja is worth a visit not only because of the greatest mountain in the Baltics but also the greatest family restaurant. Suur Muna always surprises me! The dishes are made from the locally grown products. Some are cooked gently raw, some are well-smoked or grilled. The plating is perfect! If you are there just for a coffee, don’t hesitate to try their cakes and pastry. A taste of Estonia!

Absolutely wonderful place. Interesting food, with great taste and lovely serving. The people working there are nice and very welcoming. Couldn't ask for anything more to be honest.
I had mutton and it was tender and tasted absolutely wonderful. The portion was also very large. Definitely recommend and I'm certainly going back

We were in Haanja for something else and google maps said this is closest place to eat and I am so happy we decided to go in. The atmosphere is mix of cosy and romantic and bit of hectic. Staff was very friendly and warm. I had the three course special they had for restaurant week baked beetroot soup with goat cheese, moose entrecôte with vegetables and ice cream trio. My other half is a picky eater and when we asked just meat and potatoes no one made a face like we were annoyance. We both enjoyed our meals very much.

This restaurant also has a dog. While I usually do not like dogs in eating places this dog stole my heart with one glance. She did not run around and beg for food but was very aware what she can't and can do.

There is a little shopping section for handicrafts as well which had some very nice items.

Felt like I was at home, I will definitely return.

I love this place! Such amazing food and such friendly people. After a long ski on the local trails this is a perfect spot.

Love that place! One of the coziest cafes in the whole world! The food is amszing, too, never a disappointment. The food comes from the local farmers and you can really feel the love in the good and atmosphere. In summet there is big terrace. Check out the upstairs bathrooms for sure! (Surprise!)

Nice cakes, big tea pot (enough for 4 people), best toilets - plays music and disco lights! ). Good food!

Excelent quality food and cakes also. Has children’s play area and garden. Cool disco so toilet kids liked (less important). All round grate place to stop for quality food.
