Tuletorni kohvik (Lighthouse Cafe)

We didn't expect to find such a delicious lunch here! I had herring with potatoes and salad, my wife chicken with fries & salad. Friendly staff & quick service.
And don't forget to climb the lighthouse!

A lot of history here holding the third oldest constructed Lighthouse in the world! The scenery once you get to the top is amazing! Swallows circle the lighthouse, with very friendly staff.

Some info about it:
Kõpu lighthouse (Estonian: Kõpu tuletorn) is one of the best known symbols and tourist sights on the Estonian island of Hiiumaa. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world, having been in continuous use since its completion in 1531.
The lighthouse marks the Hiiu Shoal (Estonian: Hiiu madal, Swedish: Neckmansgrund) and warns ships away from the shoreline. Light from Kõpu lighthouse can be used for navigation as far as 26 nautical miles (48 km; 30 mi) away, although in 1997 a radar lighthouse largely took over its role as navigation aid.
Kõpu lighthouse was previously known under its Swedish name, Upper Dagerort lighthouse.

Impressive lighthouse on the hill in the middle of peninsula. Great view from the top. IMHO the biggest attraction on the island

You can buy a silver fish (hôbekala in estonian) in a jar from the closest cafeteria 40m away from the lighthouse. It may grant you 3 wishes.

The lighthouse itself is one of the oldest in estonia and was at first just a high tower made of stones with a fire made on top of it to signal for the ships at sea. Quite a straight corridor that goes up.

3,5/5 for the food. Beautiful place to have a coffee and enjoy the one of the oldest lighthouses.

A really beautiful café with the kindest owner one can find in Estonia. I really felt at home and thankful for the experinece.

Very good place to have a brekkie or lunch! Delicious food, nice portion sizes, fair prices. I ordered omelette for 4,50€, latte 2,50€ and cheese cake 2,50€. Will come back next time while in Hiiumaa.

We drove by on a Saturday afternoon in mid April. And it was close so we didn’t get a chance to climb up. But the surrounding view is very nice.
