Very beautiful town, clean and with a good variety of places to eat the local food.

Several excellent restaurants, great place for meeting local residents and people watching.

The central square is a lovely place to hang out after a nice meal and to run into all your friends from town. Highly recommend spending some time here and checking out the local shops.

Early near 8 am the native flute music floated over the park, followed by other instruments, just near the church...was a Vilcabamba experience I'm glad to have witnessed. Shopping was trippy fun! I found the french bakery...oh la la! Bought two of most everything but was glad it was lateish as only one counter still had stuff to try. Very good day shopping near the park at Vilcabamba. So yeah, I enjoyed the park today.

This is nice but busy area, with taxes lined up on one side and surrounded by food spaces and offices there is a lot of foot traffic.
You can still sit on a bench and drift away. The church which is the focal point of the community at this time undergoing renovations, recently an orchestra from Loja gave a concert in the church to help fund the renovation. The square is a nice melting pot for the community.

Charming laid back town center including lovely old Catholic church, park; shops, sidewalk cafes with older gentlemen enjoying their morning coffee together.

The hostel is very good.
It is located in the beach.
The owner is super friendly And the atmosphere is perfect

Nice shaded hang-out in centre of Vilcabamba.. lots of restaurants and shops pharmacies ATM around..

Such a nice, charming little place. Calm, people say Buenos dias even if they don't know you. Not too hot, not cold.

Pretty little central plaza park. Shops and restaurants, some vendors. Church, pharmacies, ATMs all handy.

Very nice clean place, you can find tourists info in the office around the park

Could use as coat of paint, but a sweet chapel.

This is certainly one of those great places to visit in Ecuador...
