Amagusa Preserva

Nice place to bird. Including the dirt road surrounding it. Didn't stay here but they have rooms and camping. Great bird feeders. About $10 per person to visit for the day.

Wow! Just continues to get better and better for birds. They have a nice thing they do which is to spray nectar into some flowers, in addition to having feeders. This gives better photos. They also let me hold the flower in my hand and a bunch of hummers sat on my hand to drink from it. I think we had over 50 species of birds in the 90 minutes we were here.

Love this place, it is one of my MUST visit photo location during my bird's photo expeditions to Ecuador. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful place full of endemic species of the Choco region. Sergio and Doris will help you see and photograph many wonderful birds. Plan on arriving early as it rains about noon in the area.

Really nice place for birding. Several feeding stations for different birds. Also good food. Awesome!

Great place for birdwatching

The owner knows a lot about the area bird. You can see them super close and interact with them. It's easy to see birds all the time

A special morning - great birds at the feeders and along the road made the bouncy journey worthwhile. Add personality and a nice local lunch and our group had a very memorable adventure. Would visit again.

The owners are truly nature lovers and open to shere their knowledge. Its a very nice place to understand nature in a very respectful way. Lovely!

What an amazing place! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. This reserve is such a beautiful spot, full of amazing birds including a very high concentration of Choco endemics. Sergio is an amazing host and has protected such an incredible spot. We arrived at 7am and promptly spent time at the feeders watching amazing birds come in just a foot away. Sergio then took us on a walk down the road where he helped us locate many amazing birds including several hard to spot endemics. Thank you Sergio, we look forward to visiting Amagusa Preserva on our next visit.

Guianza de primera.

La ruta de llegada es un poco estrecha, pero el lugar cuenta con una variedad de especies de aves qué vale la pena observar, en nuestra visita con atendió la señora del lugar Doris, quien amablemente nos recibió, nos dio un recorrido por el lugar al igual que mucha información sobre las especies qué logramos observar, sin duda un lugar que vale la pena visitar por más de una tarde para desconectarse de la ciudad

Un lugar muy bonito para observar diversas especies de aves y convivir con colibríes que se alimentan allí.

Este lugar es increíble, más de 20 especies endémicas de esta región. El bosque del Chocó es un hábitat altamente afectado por la ganadería y agricultura y es probablemente el más biodiverso del mundo. Ahora algunas de las especies se pueden observar con mínimo impacto en Mashpi Amagusa.
En el sitio puedes observar aves, plantas y disfrutar de los alimentos preparados ahí mismo.
