Secret Garden Mompiche

Secret Garden is absolutely one of the best vegan places I have ever eaten at. I enjoyed every meal I had and Roni, the chef, will also consider your allergies or preferences, which is amazing - what a personal approach. As a bonus, Roni will tell you the best life stories you can hear - trust me, you won't be bored!

Secret Garden is wonderful. Roni cooked for us a tasty Thai curry and her home is so unique with good vibes. The space is an eco-house with no walls except for the trees that surround it and it was inspiring to see. Plus Roni has had a super interesting life and has tons of great stories and experiences to share - it was fun to connect with her over a great meal. Definitely recommend checking out her spot if you are in Mompiche!

Roni is a great host in a lovely place. The food is delicious. She offers vegan food by default. My non-vegan friends loved it and so I did.

Really LOVE this place! I frequented it often during my visit to Mompiche last summer. Ronie (the owner) is such a badass! She has one of the coolest life stories and is a true inspiration. Not only is she a stellar professional chef who can whip up just about anything, she designed her home/hotel in such a unique and beautiful way. The mosaics in the bathroom are gorgeous. She also makes/sells sauces and tasty hot sauce.

I'm vegan and was eating more fruitarian during my visit; Ronie happily accommodated all diets. I would come daily to hangout and eat at least one meal. Be aware that there's cats and cat hair. Love cats! Not the hair.

A personal chef--treehouse--restaurant--hotel--good vibes--coastal beach town… I mean, what more can you ask for? I HIGHLY recommend you check her place out if you're a nature lover and or vegan. Hell, check her place out even if you're not! Can't wait to visit Secret Garden of Mompiche again and enjoy her yummy food creations and superb vibes.

The secret garden is simply fantastic. My partner and I normally struggle with our dietary restrictions; I'm vegan and he has multiple allergies. Roni prepared a wonderful 3 course meal full of (tasty!) surprises. Kept on coming back for more, and it surely didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the secret garden for anyone looking for a special dining experience!

Amazing vegan food by Roni in a wonderful, unique setting - swing in hammocks or sit and relax to the sound of the Mompiche night as you eat delicious, nutritious food made with heart! We loved it and would highly recommend seeking out the Secret Garden!

The breakfast at Secret Garden was amazingly delicious and a really big portion.
You write her the day before booking the breakfast. There you can also tell her any allergies and preferences - then she cooks with fresh ingredients (plenty of them from her own garden).
Generally, we really enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden: Roni is an incredibly inspiring personality and we had great conversations with her.

I got stuck in Mompiche when the original quarantine started, it was no problem because I had Secret Garden. Roni provides delicious and healthy vegan and vegetarian meals in her home, with no shortage of variety and a beautiful open air layout to her home. Looking back on my time in Mompiche, it was especially accentuated by the Secret Garden and Roni, a dear friend.

A magic place in a magic town. Secret garden is a charming and cozy location where you can have múltiple experiences: eating, cooking, harvesting organic fruits and vegetables, enjoy artworks and sleeping. Roni the owner is an experienced chef who cooks delicious Vegan and percatarían dishes, the ingredients are organic and locally grown or even collected from the same garden, and as a plus they are really cheap. I also had cooking clases to learn all the tricks and secrets and the experience was the best. Happy to be back every time I can.

What a surprise to find a restaurant with delicious vegan options in Mompiche!

I spent 3 months in Mompiche during the Coronavirus strangeness, and I enjoyed lunch almost every day at the Secret Garden, delicious vegetarian dishes with hand selected ingredients, prepared with ability, experience and love. It’s a beautiful and interesting place. Roni is wonderful! She not only has a super green, open and earthy place; she’s also really interesting, and we enjoyed hours of wonderful conversation and storytelling. I very much recommend at least a visit to Secret Garden in Mompiche! She also offers nice sleeping places with jungle views upstairs.

My boyfriend and I went to The Secret Garden for breakfast one lovely day while in Mompiche. Roni, the owner, was really lovely and made us a delicious breakfast catering to our dietary requirements (we are vegan). Everything she fed us was homemade including a huge variety of different jams and sauces. We spent an hour or so sharing breakfast with Roni while she told us about her life and how she ended up in the tiny village of Mompiche. All in all a really lovely experience and something we’d recommend to anyone passing through Mompiche. Thanks Roni for the lovely food and chats.

I recently stayed in Mompiche for a couple of weeks, and had the great fortune of stumbling across this beautiful place and its wonderful owner, Roni. Between the assortment of homemade chutneys and sauces, Roni's amazing home-cooked vegetarian/vegan food (which never failed to impress me and set my mouth watering), and the stimulating and kind company of Roni herself, I could not recommend Secret Garden enough to anyone who finds themselves passing through Mompiche.

Delicious food made from scratch with a lot of love, served in the wonderful company of Roni. Highly recommended!

I randomly was reminded of this hostel by Google, so I figured I'd leave a quick note: stayed here a few years ago and it's definitely one of the loveliest hostels I've been to. The lady who runs it is a sweetheart.

Wir sind auf Empfehlung in den Secret Garden gegangen und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Das Haus selbst hat eine wundervolle Atmosphäre, Roni (die Besitzerin) ist neben einer super Köchen auch eine spannende Person! Wenn wir mal wieder in Mompiche sind kommen wir definitiv wieder!
