Great food and great service. In addition to herb crusted lemon chicken I had one of their amazing juice smoothies; the Super C ( passion fruit, alfalfa, citrus). Staff speaks English and Spanish. Great decor and musicians stop in every so often to just play 1-2 songs.

Wow! Just amazing good food, all served by very nice staff. All ingredients taste fresh and their salsa picante did remind me of the spicy salsas you get in the very best TexMex restaurants in Tx. I’ve eaten several “almuerzo’s” so far and a few times from the menu. All is just superb. I enjoyed the NasiGoreng a lot. I hadn’t had a really good tasting NasiGoreng in years. I keep going back to this place. On top of all that, I love it when they fire up the fire place on a chilly rainy day. PS no plastic bottles used at all. They’re very environmental oriented.

Great dishes. I tried the burrito and my companion took the 7 graines, we were both very happy. Nice mood in the restaurant too !
A must try is the kombucha !

Had a great meal here for lunch. While the restaurant caters to foreigners, it does so without feeling hokey or exploitative. Well decorated, broad library for exchange, and friendly wait staff.

Great vegetarian selection and some special craft beers... casa good lasagne (see photo) was great!

Casa Hood had been recommended to us and we had not been disappointed! We had a great time and dinner. The waitress Gladys was very kind and the atmosphere in the restaurant was super with relaxing music and fireplace.
We had the Lasagne, Bbq Chicken and dessert which was all tasty. We did not have to wait long for food or drink.
We would like to come again.

We were joking that this spot is Gringo Paradise. It really is a great spot for meals and ambience. We came two nights in a row. Food was great, Alejandro was an awesome server, the live music was fun. Definitely order a milkshake, you won’t regret it!

The Food is excellent! Very tasty and with good portioning.

For Vegans and Vegetarians: 🌱
We recommend the avocado in vinaigrette, the tabbouli and the pita with Humus for appetizers.
For entrees: the falafel plate and the Nasim Gurang with Seitan. Very few places in Ecuador offer Vegan and Vegetarian options so, take advantage of the Seitan bc its definitely a treat!

Fish and Chicken: 🐟 🍗
They can accommodate the dishes to your liking. You can order protein without breading/apanadura and no salt on things like sautéed potatoes if you’re trying to eat healthier. Try the Lemon Trout, Mediterranean trout or the Lemon Chicken. All delicious!

For the most part it was good. We experienced 3 different waiters and waitresses. We would like to shout out NAIM and SILVIA for their amazing service and nice smiles. THANK YOU SO MUCH you guys are the MVPs 🤗

Not so much our second waiter who had dark hair and thick build (he looked like a local but can’t be sure.) we also don’t remember his name, but we sure remember his TERRIBLE service. So bad that during our second evening, we saw he was the only waiter there and decided to go check out CAFE HOOD instead, just to avoid him as a server again.

Casa Hood was the very first restaurant we tried while we stayed in Baños. We ended up there by accident. Later on we found out it had amazing reviews on google and it did not disappoint.

The ambiance of the restaurant was very “hippie”, Art oriented and dog friendly (all of which we loved immensely ❤)
They also have lots of information on dog adoptions and wild animal life rescue programs. Check out the hallway to the bathrooms for more 😉
In the evenings, they light up candles 🕯 on your tables and play relaxing jazz. What more could you ask for? Love, love, love.

Last but not least, to Lucy: 🐶 The cute little poodle with the funky purple hairdo and the ribbons. Always hanging out in the restaurant being friendly with the customers. Thank you for an amazing experience 😙💕

Great place and comfortable atmosphere. Food is excellent with quality ingredients. There's a chemmeny and live music during weekends. They have a good collection of books and plays movies during the evenings. The owners are super nice friends and our courtois to clients. Very recommended to visit and have a good time. Cheers

Perfect! It's so so cosy with the books and the fireplace, all the stuff is polite and smiley and the food is fabulous - we liked it so much we returned the next day and are planning to go again! Well done on creating such a gem of a place.

Nice, tasty, just a couple chicken options for a meat eaters. So if you are super hungry, maybe not the right place. It's more kind of hippy, chill place with a live music sometimes. Small and cozy place

Fantastic value for money.

We got the Lunch Time special (which loads of people seem to get) we got a soup, spaghetti and dessert for about $4.

The food was pretty damn tasty for the price we paid and we would certainly come back in a shot!

Busy yet cozy. Options on the menu with Mediterranean and Asian influence. We had deliciously-prepared trout from local lakes and rivers after an appetizer of pita and hummus.

Good food - from italian to mexican, local and vegan. Service a bit slow, but very enjoyable. Interior is cute with a small library where you can exchange books

Came here at least once a day during our 5-day stay in Banos. Great dinner and drinks, good and cheap almuerzo (lunch) menu that changed daily, plus a cozy atmosphere made it a great spot for a meal.

Loved this place, super local cuisine and staff, but with some delicious food options from Asia and a bit of Mediterranean. Try the watermelon smoothie - delicious. Meal for two came to $20.
