Very small, independent eatery with great service and an interesting menu. The food was flavourful, came out hot and portions were generous. The staff / owner were very welcoming. Great spot, I would return and recommend.

As amazing as everyone says. Ever dish (of the handful available - although diverse) is made to a very high level and full of flavour with proper ingredients!

This was the best meal my friends and I have had in this part of the world. Real cheddar cheese! Nuff said.

I had two arepas (pulled pork and cheese, and chicken and avo) And was so stuffed from the first one (an amazingly full and happy stomach for $3!).

Arepas were so good we had them for dinner two days on our trip. Chicken with mushrooms was amazing and so was the spaghetti with chicken in pesto sauce - the best most refreshing pesto I've ever had! The coffee was equally awesome and the hot chocolate can be added to some of the best we've had. Service was equally attentive and excellent! Thank you guys for an amazing meal during our stay in Baños!

A nice local restaurant close to the centre of Banos. The food is very good and fresh. The atmosphere is nice and warm. The staff is friendly. The menu is small but the variety is big enough. The soup, chimps and chicken were very nice. A great place to eat.

Ate here three times since the first time was excellent. The three soups we had were perfect, lots of vegetables and beans with a pleasant broth. The Spanish torta was tasty and not over cooked. The highlight on our second dish has to be chicken with mushroom sauce. The sauce was out standing.

A new location for Alto Caribe with the excellent food and service we have come to expect. Gabo is a great chef and he is #1 in all our hearts. It is so good to have him open again and he will deliver take out.

The best freshly-baked bread we've had in Baños. The food, service, and prices are excellent. Be sure to try out the breakfast and dinner selections, as they're very different. We're looking forward to coming back.

Alto Caribe has a small menu, but there is everything on it that you need! The food is amazing and the portions are really big, but you always want to finish because it's so tasty. I can recommend the chicken with mushroom sauce!

This is amazing place. I’m vegetarian and here I ate the best dish in Ecuador. My friend that is not vegetarian found great option for him. You can ask and mix food here. And be aware that portions are huge 😛

Alto Caribe is easily my favorite restaurant in Banos, Ecuador. I'm a vegetarian... so there are lots of good options. Plus, Laura and Gabriel (who run the restaurant) are such beautiful, friendly people. The food is delicious (the best in Banos - in my opinion) and the price is just right. Highly recommended!

Good food and super friendly service. Interesting dishes that are a nice change of pace from regular platos tipicos. Prices are really decent, and the main dish includes soup, so we were really full afterwards.

The food was delicious and well priced, the wine as well. The waitress working was very friendly and attentive. One of the best food experiences in Baños.

Possibly in Italy I would not be particulary impressed, but in Ecuador I was. Mediterrenan spaghetti was almost perfect. Great option if you are a vegetarian.

Amazing food! When you look at the food and taste it, you think you are in a fancy restaurant. But the prices are great
