La Lobería

This place is really good, you don't need your own car to go here you can rent a taxi but if you can rent a car I recommend that the experience is way better driving around, you can see sea lions, sea turtles (just some times) and whales if you go in the right time, fom July, August and September is the best time, sunscreen and a lot of water too

So glad I got out of the beach front Salinas and made it to El Chocolate. It's simply beautiful. Wear a hat....the sun is very intense.

I've found that place accidentally when walking from La Chocolateria (a very long walked). What a nice surprise discovery it was. At first, I started photographing some unusual rocks, then the waves along the nearby beach, then the waves lashing the rocks, then, I saw it all. The surfers were hunting big waves and some were really skilled. Occasionally, some big waves would hit some unusually shaped rock. There were also sea lions on nearby rocks. Wow!

La Loberia is part of 3 viewpoints within the military complex, called the FAE. Don’t be intimidated to walk or drive into the military base. It’s open to the public during the day [till about 5pm). La Loberia is like an open zoo. The sea lions (lobo marino) come to this rock to mate and have their babies. Beside this, La Loberia is also a great surf place.

Great location to view the ocean and all its majestic power and creation.

Beautiful, picturesque, stunning....

Even though the seals are kind of far away, you still can see them. It is an amazing experience and the view from the gazebo is just breathtaking! Ecuador is an amazingly beautiful country! 💕

Is a good place to relax.

Nice place, easy to get there from Salinas, it's about 10 minutes from Malecon. You can spend a lot of time watching the sea lions, when I was there there were a lot of them. The place has beautiful views of the sea too, but no structure like toilets and places to eat are available. I recommend.

Very cool looking area with big waves

End of a trail that started at La Chocolatera. The magnificent view is added benefit to the health that walking provides. No sea lions seen though.

On the navel base. We took a cab to la chocloteria and walked to Loberia. Nice path mostly follows beach. Lots of sea lions and volcanic shoreline. Very worth the visit.

It's really nice. Be aware of the smell but if you're not sensible to that it's amazing
