My friends and I did camping, canyoning, and kayaking. I can testify that I felt at home and everyone in town makes sure that you a memorable experience. Professional and well prepared staff. Delicious food! 100% recommended and worth its price.

We went with them kayaking and Canyoning. I need to say it was marvelous, the guides very professional, very caring, very knowledgeable and very patience. We are not the youngest anymore but went Canyoning anyway. You need to know that what the say is true, you need a very good physical condition but I can also tell it’s worth your while. We did it and wouldn’t have missed it for nothing. I like to express another thanks to the guids. Those young man are super!! They made it happen for us. You should givd them s nice tip af the end because they earn it for 1000%!!!
In short we can recommend this excursion.

My friends and I did the canyoning tour to the "magic mushroom" with a group of friends and we had such a great time! The guides were very professional and gave helpful instructions, since none of us had any experiencie with rappelling. After the tour, there was a delicious typical Dominican lunch. 100% recommended! They even helped us recover a GoPro that had fallen into the (very deep!) water. I hope I can do another excursion with them soon.

The guides of the beautiful hidden natural gems of the north of the Dominican Republic.

We did the canyoning tour with them in December 2022, and it was absolutely incredible! Beyond the nature and falls adventures being spectacular the guides and drivers were helpful, friendly, and genuinely looking out to make sure we had the best experience possible. After the canyoning we were brought to a home cooked meal that was delicious, with beautiful views of the area around Jamao. Only thing I'll note is that we were there during offseason and most people didn't have great English, which wasn't a problem as I'm fluent in Spanish. They might have more English-speaking guides during peak times, worth checking with them.

I strongly recommend you go adventuring with Jamao Ecotours and other local groups like them, and avoid big cruiseship-trap-outfits booking from the coast (where we had mediocre experiences). Always better to be with a group that truly cares about their guests and the community around them!

We had a great tubing tour w Jamao. Santo and Matia (sp?), our guides. Everyone at JET did a great job taking care of us. This tour is fairly "rustic" so be prepared for that, and the river isn't too fast moving, so it's more relaxing than exciting. Beautiful scenery along the river. Very good value as tour included breakfast and lunch at a lovely spot. It should go without saying but make sure to apply sunscreen repeatedly as few of us got pretty burnt, despite putting sunscreen on before the float. A hat is recommended too!

I will definitely do another one of their tours if I am in the area again! Great time, great organization, and great value.

I'd give seven or eight stars if I could. This is truly a wonderful organization. The tours are an exceptional nature and adventure experience and the service and guides are fantastic. It is absolutely worth it to make it out to Jamao and stay a few days (or longer) to go on tours with Jamao Ecotours.

The most thrilling experience that I have ever had in my life. We choose the 6 hours canyoning and I don’t regretted anything. One thing is that you really need to be in shape to do this tour I very hard and demanding. You will be taken on a safari truck to Las Caobas we arrived before 9am took pictures at the entrance of Cañón Arroyo Frío we stared hiking trough cacao trees after 25 minutes the adventure stared. We jumped 60 Charcos (river pools) and went trough 16 waterfalls of crystalline water the view was breathtaking at times I didn’t believe what I was doing. About 4 hours later surprise we stopped for a small snack. We continue our journey we were able to see shrimps jumping out of the water, craps and freshwater fish. We finish our journey around 4:30pm we were welcome with a homemade buffet fresh white rice, black beans stew and stew chicken. Also two different fresh salads OMGGGGG. I’ll recommend this tour 100% by the way make sure you have a Herocam because is the only thing that can survive there.

This place was fantastic. When we visited in March they offered 9 different kind of adventures. I'll definitely be stopping by here every time I come.

Outstanding, service-oriented and very-well trained guides, focused on the sustained growth of the community. Great natural venues. Appropriate for kids. Almost too cheap for the experience!

Fui el 3 de julio. Fue una experiencia inolvidable. Hicimos el Cañón de Arroyo frío. Éramos 6 personas. Duró alrededor de 6 horas, nos dieron una comida local muy buena al final del tour. Si quieres perderte en la naturaleza, visitar hermosas áreas rurales y conocer gente buena visita

Fuimos por segunda vez en septiembre a cola de pato. Tienes que estar en forma para poder completarlo. Pero es una belleza y una experiencia inolvidable. Al final nos alimentaron con un manjar exquisito. 10/10
