We did this experience as a shore excursion while on a cruise. I did this with my wife and 3 boys ages 18, 18, and 19. This experience requires a short 40 to 45 minute hike to the first jump. Enjoy the hike, it is beautiful. Once you make it to your first jump, the real fun begins. We felt safe the whole time. To sum this experience up, my wife said this was the best excursion I ever booked, and she is scared of heights. A few jumps and a few slides, it was so much fun!!

You can check out my video of the experience here https://youtu.be/SvCRtk3BCbY?si=h5i35GSbNVdMNsKn

Really great place to visit! Guides are knowledgeable and very helpful. They work hard to make sure everyone in the party is having a great time. After taking the hike we got to jump into the refreshing falls, not once by several times!

Amazing experience! You get to do several adventurous activities. We jumped 20 feet into the water, slided along the waterfalls, hiked, swam and had so much fun! I would recommend not booking the on-site photographer rather give your phone to one of the guides, we got ~200 photos of us and the views for a cheaper price, very good deal overall!

This place is a mess too. We went on the group cruise ship Norwegian, and did the package. It’s worth every penny make sure you go. You won’t be disappointed a lot of walking, but it’s worth it nice little hike. The water is beautiful scenery is really nice book your trip it was like getting a tour of the DR also on the bus ride there. Most fun that you will have with your family in a long time.

It is possible to visit the waterfalls without a tour!! Tours are usually $69 and cover transportation, a guide for the waterfalls and lunch. We got our own van and price for transport equaled $7.75 per person. Then to do the waterfalls with a guide was 500 pesos ($9) -guides are required, but they are on-site.

It’s important to know that the 27 waterfalls are NOT open all year. When we went the beginning of august only the 7 waterfall tour was open. That’s because there wasn’t enough water on the upper waterfalls.

The waterfalls are beautiful. I was a little disappointed at how much the guides were rushing us. I could understand that if it was super busy, but on the day we went there was no cruise ship and we arrive right at opening so there were no lines. It may have taken an extra 5-10 minutes if they would have let us enjoy and the overall experience would have been much better.

This place was amazing. Our tour guides were great Layla was awesome. There were 3 guys as well that were awesome too I believe one was named Anthony, I'm bad with names. But they were great! My kids and I are planning a trip back real soon. It was an experience that we will never forget and will be going again.

the people were fantastic. Nothing was rushed everyone's safety was taken seriously and we were still allowed to have a lot of fun. We did the ATV part and you drove through part of the village that Damajagua belongs to. And even though they have people driving through their streets all day they are still friendly and inviting.

We unfortunately did not get to complete the waterfall part of the visit. I was not paying attention to my health and water consumption and realized i was not in a state to complete "only 5 more minutes". One of the guides stayed in constant contact with the powers that be and when we got to the office they were there with ice and water waiting. They asked what we needed as far as medical attention and made sure that someone was taking care of us at all times. They arranged for us to get back to our ship early. They were sincere with their care and their time telling us all about the area their families and their culture. Everyone that worked there was like family and they made us feel like part of the familia tambien.

I especially want to thank Rumania the site manager for the amazing coffee conversation and concern. She is amazing with her people, and she takes her responsibility seriously. It is obvious she loves her job and it shows with all the people who work around her. They respect her and they treat all their guest great.

Even though I didn't get to finish (this time) I would recommend 10 out of 10 times

This excursion was theeee best $90 I ever spent. We got to walk through the indigenous jungle to a waterfall, which was just beautiful. After that, we were taken to a coffee and chocolate plantation where we experienced how they made their coffee and chocolate from picking the fruits to rosting and mashing them in a traditional pilon. We got to try some fresh cacao and hot chocolate along with some organic coffee. After that, they let us loose in the shop, where they also hand carved petrified wood into beautiful art. Even the bus ride was fun. We jammed out to merengue and salsa and drank a whole lot of Brugal. What an amazing time.

Had a great time jumping off the waterfalls and going down the slide. The hike was not easy for some people. You do have quite a hike to get to the top but the guides were awesome.

I cannot say enough good things about our waterfalls tour! Hike up to the waterfalls then jump, slide or climb your way to the bottom through the river. Make sure you have comfortable water shoes and a waterproof phone pouch because you will definitely be getting wet. The only way back down is to swim through the river. I would book this again is a heart beat! Such an amazing experience ❤

Took a mutiple activities excursion through Carnival cruise lines while we were in the Dominican Republic and the Damajagua Waterfalls experience was one of them. We all suited up in life jackets and a helmet before heading out on the hike to the waterfalls. They provided plenty of water for us to stay hidrated at the starting point. The hike itself was about a 20-30 minute hike each way, very rocky. We had out 7 and 9 year old with us and they did amazing despite we went to two other excursions during the beginning of the day. We spent about 20-30 minutes at the Waterfalls and you had the chance to go down the waterfall about 5 or so times if you chose to do so. The kids really enjoyed it. They had so much fun that they never even complained about the walking there or back. Definitely recommend this and the Monkeyland if you're spending time in the area and are looking for some fun experiences.

One of the most touristic natural attractions in the Dominican Republic. The best way is to arrive to the location by yourself, with your own/rental car or a bus from the city. The organized tours increase the price but add no value other than the transportation, so bear that in mind when you see one of those in TripAdvisor, GetYourGuide, etc. once at the entrance you'll have a huge dirt parking lot to park your car or where the bus will park, and then you can head to the ticket office to get either the $24 USD ticket including 7 waterfalls and a lunch meal or $43 USD including the above plus a couple of ziplines. Honestly, unless you crave for the ziplines, the $24 is the better option. There are only 7 waterfalls open out of the 27 due to the low water levels, and it is actually 5 falls or waterfalls that you'll jump or slide, not 7; they count the ponds, not the waterfalls, remember that the name of the natural area is the '27 charcas del Damajagua', and if you don't know Spanish look up what 'charca' means. They have lockers for an extra USD and they'll provide you with a helmet and a PFD, other than the tour guides. You can also pay for a photography service but some people dare to bring their phones with them into the water. Once a group of people is ready you will hike up like 30 min including stops, so bear in mind to wear some shoes that work both for the dirt and the water, but the group stops several times to make sure we are all together. Once you'll be close to the first and highest waterfall, there may be a bit of line as people may be slightly afraid of going down; bear in mind that on the big waterfalls there is a possibility to go down on a wooden ladder next to it, although it almost looked as scary as the waterfall itself. After you have completed the 5 falls/slides you will be regrouped and led back to the entrance area with multiple stops to make sure all the group goes together, so take advantage of this time to observe the nature or think/talk about how much you liked the adventure. After that, a buffet type meal with several options of vegetables, meat, pasta, etc and a bottle of water will be available in the main open canopy in the entrance area. In my opinion, it is worth the price and gives you the right amount of adventure, with a total time of around 2h, so you don't get bored, or cold to be in the water too long, etc.

Be prepared for lots of walking (much uphill). I would advise old comfortable sneakers. We wore cheap water shoes and the bottoms of our feet were sore from uneven/rocky footings. It's a fun adventure and waterfall jumps and slides were great (though limited)! Unique experience

Please note that the hike up is NOT for faint of heart or unfit person. It is a trek to say the least. The tour guides do give you rest in between. Lots of uneven steps going uphill. Once you make it, it’s beautiful. The first jump is a bit high. If you are afraid of heights, I would not suggest. There are alternative steps to go down. You have to go down backwards. Once you hit the water, it is so cooling. You get to take in the beautiful scenery while floating to the next jump or slide and so on. I would suggest bringing water shoes that are padded enough to make trek uphill with stones and natural uneven terrain. They provide them for $2 but they are reused by past guests. I would also suggest bringing waterproof case that you can hang from your neck, if you would like to take your phone for photos. I would definitely go back with a group of friends.

Great scenery while jumping and sliding down the waterfalls. If anyone in the group is scared to jump there's always stairs to go down. Fun to do. 24$ with lunch or 12$ just the tour.

This was so much fun! The description did not do it justice.
a few things you should take note of.
1. The hiking part of the tour is long and will be difficult for people who are out of shape.
2. The water is VERY cold.
3. Once you get to the part of the Hike where you are doing the water slides you can't go back. You have to go down the slides.
4. If you can't swim this is not the adventure for you. The water current is VERY strong.

I had a lot of fun on the 7 waterfalls tour. The Guides Carlos and Papito were awesome. The water in February c couple days after rains was colder than expeced... But as we kept working downstream the chills came off. We went with a cruise group.
