This is a good high level restaurant in DR. Excellent food and location, services worth the visit and the food is astonish. Definitely a place to go to celebrate a special ocasión! ✌🏾

Top notch restaurant in Piantini. Everything was great from the food to the selection of wine and drinks. The steaks were perfect and the tapas.

Order seafood salad and branzino fish grilled with olive oil and garlic as suggested by the waiter. The fish was fresh and cooked very well - the olive oil and garlic was flavorful without overwhelming the taste of the fish. The fish comes with a complementary side dish and I selected yellow rice. The yellow rice (with pork sausage) could be a dish on its own - very tasty. You can make reservation using WhatsApp from the link shown on their instagram page. The restaurant has ample of parking including underground parking underneath the restaurant.

Don Pepe is not only the best restaurants I have eaten in Dominican Republic, but also one of the best all around the world. High quality of food, very fresh and excellent taste.
The service is friendly, elegant and kind.
The atmosphere is outstanding, elegant and classic.
The wide selection of good wines is exquisite.
Appetizer, I ordered hot shrimps with olive oil and garlic. Main: white fish, branzino with mashed potatoes. Dessert: toasted coconut.

High end dining. Was coming in from the beach and felt unbelievably under dressed and felt slight presumptuous vibes. Once they got over the fact we weren't exactly dressed for fine dining, they were extremely nice, Accommodating and gave great recommendations. Food was phenomenal, apps were incredible. The stuffed avocado with crab and the salpicon (its like ceviche) were especially delicious. The Churrasco was tasty and and the chillo in garlic sauce was exceptional.

Absolutely amazing!!! This was a world class dinner. The prime rib was the best I have ever had from anywhere, including the best steak houses in the USA. You guys did a great job. Thank you.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but I left a happy man after that dinner. I went to Don PePe with my wife for our anniversary and we had an amazing time.

As I walked through the busy streets of Santo Domingo, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. I was on my way to Don Pepe, a restaurant that had been recommended to me by several locals as the place to go for authentic Dominican cuisine.

As I entered the restaurant, I was struck by the cozy, intimate atmosphere. The walls were adorned with colorful paintings and photographs, and the air was filled with the smells of spices and roasting meat.

I perused the menu, which offered a wide range of traditional Dominican dishes, from sancocho to mofongo. But I knew that I had to try the dish that Don Pepe was famous for: chicharrón de pollo.

When the chicharrón de pollo arrived at my table, I could see why it was such a beloved dish. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning. It was served with a side of yuca, which had been boiled and then fried to a golden brown.

But the real star of the show was the sauce. Made with a blend of garlic, cilantro, and lime juice, the sauce added a zesty, tangy flavor that complemented the richness of the chicharrón perfectly.

As I ate, I couldn't help but marvel at the skill of the chefs at Don Pepe. Every dish was cooked to perfection, with a depth of flavor that only comes from years of experience.

But what really set Don Pepe apart was the warmth of the staff. They welcomed me with open arms, eager to share their love of Dominican cuisine with me. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the food or the culture, making me feel like I was part of their family.

As I left Don Pepe, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such delicious food in such a warm and welcoming environment. Don Pepe is truly a gem in the heart of Santo Domingo, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Dominican cuisine.

Great food, but bring a Jacket for the cold AC. They have great European style kitchen but also traditional dominican and spanish food. Seafood and fish is one of their specialties. And make sure to enjoy the dessert cart ;)

Outstanding, dining at Don Pepe was great.

- Service: from beginning to end, the service was great, indulgent yet private.

- The atmosphere was great, nobody was on top of each other but it felt cozy, surrounded by the decor, the hams, the glass wine wall and live plants complemented the place.

- The food is the main actor and it was to die for:
*Warm bread with butter
*We had half bottle of Wine (Protos Crianza)👌
* We started with Avocado filled with Crab🤤, big juicy pieces of crab marinated with olive oil.
* We had a Ribeye Steak 🤤(big) and Seabass (Branzino) grilled 😋, both items were delicious and plentiful.

- Dessert
* Figs (Higos) dipped in light honey😋
* Crema Española (Cream Brulee)😋

Overall, I would definitely recommend Don Pepe. If you're looking for high end food in Santo Domingo, this place won't disappoint.

A spectacular Spanish style restaurant in Santo Domingo. The food was excellent and the service faultless. Iberian ham available by the truckload and a wine selection better than many in the city. The wait staff is well trained and accommodating. Prices are comparable to similar restaurants. Overall a wonderful experience.

A very pleasant place

Hands down a great restaurant! Nothing but the best quality of all they serve. I didn't do much research or looked at the menu before I visited. God I wished I had. I was just really hungry and wanted food fast. I ordered oysters as an appetizer and the paella. Oysters were good, no complaints. But, as I was enjoying my food. I saw the table next to us, receivie an order of crab claws. That, from a distance looked amazing (I love crab!). Told myself I now have to come back to try them out. As for the paella. Wife and I both agreed, it's one the best we have ever tried! Mind you, I have a Spaniard stepfather and I have dined in numerous Spanish (span) new york restaurants for over 30 years! I will definitely go back!

This restaurant by far exceeded every expectation I never thought I had. We had the spider crab and steak. Wow. Amazingly seasoned and wonderfully presented. The waiters take pride in what they do. Amazing. Nice decor, wonderful music and atmosphere. Desert was amazing. Goat cheese cake. Yes yes yes!!!

Classic wonderful spanish restaurant with a A+ services. The servers are well trained, take the plates as mandate, are respectful and inform of the dishes and everything. Love the centollo and ajillo they have as many well make dishes.
