Banco Popular - Autobanco

For tourists and English speakers out there, have traveled here for years, and lived here for a few.
This bank is a new clean construction, similar to a USA or Canadian bank, service available in English, staff courteous, clean and professional ... (that alone is a rarity in this country) ...
Security is always present, don't let the guns scare you, down here you "want" that !!!
Private, safe parking right in front of the bank, always available, drive through and ATM open 24 hours with 24 hour security on site and well lit property ...
Exchange is fair and the best you'll get anywhere ...
I've banked at other "brand" of banks in DR - cancelled all of them and simply bank here -- it's a gem !!!
The staff is also great if you need to transfer money from bank to bank or handle a wire transfer, they actually know what they're doing and will guide you through all the hoops.. plus they are a "Money Gram" location ...

Last note - this bank is in a good neighborhood which is critical, you can get your money out of the ATM at 1.00 am and not worry in the least about getting mugged on the way home !!!

The only bank in this area ! Great staff, multilingual, clean, I recommend changing money and making transactions here !

Wir suchten einen Geldautomaten in Juan Dolio im Süden unweit von der Hauptstadt Santo Domingo. Die Banco Pupular ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit Bankauromaten außerhalb des bewachten Gebäudes und einem Drive Inn Automaten. Da der Geldautomat der sich neben dem Gebäude befand, besetzt war, hat uns die Security zum Autoschalter geführt und wir hatten überhaupt kein Problem Dominikanische Pesos abzuheben. Hilfe ist stets in der Nähe.

Ahora la nueva y moderna construcción se encuentra en el centro de Juan Dolio Nueva, Villas del Mar.
Es el mejor y mayor Banco Dominicano y esta sucursal es la mejor demonstración y explicación:
Espaciosa, con amplio parqueo, con suficientes empleados para no tener que hacer largas filas es una Sucursal con una S mayuscula por el trato y el manejo competente y profesional de parte de todo su personal. Felicitaciones!

Es un buen autoservicio y bien espacioso con un par de entradas para que fluyan más rápido los vehículos y así agilizar el tránsito y agilizar las transaciones bancarias.

Actually pretty decent ATM place. There's always some security staff and its much safer than any other nearby ATM.

Update - its very limited by amount you can withdraw from card per day. :(
