Velling Kalv

Viewpoint from where the differences between the meager sand-land to the west compares to the more rich soil (moreinic) to the East. This geological divide running North to South across central Jutland owes in part to the dynamics of the glacial activity during the last ice age starting 80-70 '000 years ago and ending some 15-10 '000 years ago.
The past 40 years growth of trees due to preservation has diminished the outlook.

Absolutely worth the climb. Be on the listen for the haunting braying of the iron donkey deeper in these woods.
