Esrum Abbey is a Cistercian abbey from 1151. The abbey is well preserved, boasts an interesting history and now features a few interesting exhibitions and a cafe. Not to forget, they abbey is located in the National Park “North Zealand of Kings” with breathtaking nature for walks, cycling, angling and much more.

Great experience, u get a ipad and with AR (on the ipad u see extra stuff, ) then u see the life's of monkes and how they lived, the ride to the destination is also very beautiful
BTW don't forget a ID for the ipad

We were there for the midieval market which was very Nice. Good size. Didn't see much of Esrum Kloster it was under renovation this time

A nice and quiet area with lots of nature, in summer you can buy ice cream, coffee, beer and soft drinks or a small lunch menu on site. And there are seating outside. You can also bring your own food basket and sit on the large lawn behind Esrum Mølle farm. An experience worth visiting.

We drove from Copenhagen to Esrum Abbey for about an hour. The abbey itself is surround by beautiful scenery, allowing for a peaceful moment to walk around and absorb the nature and the culture.

Before entering the abbey we walked into a room where kids (and small adults) can dress in medieval costumes and play with authentic wooden toys. At the arched basement of the abbey we walked into a shop and cafe which is very nicely decorated. I could visit this place every day if I lived in this area.

A living museum run with a lot of passion. Good for children and adults alike. Even has a good selection of Abbey beers.

A nice monestry with a fine shop. Perfect stop for a drink or ice cream when trekking the beautiful sourounding nature.

Esrum is beautiful. The Kloster is stunning and there are often great food and drink events on.
