We spent 2 nights in the cabin-tents with a big veranda overlooking the savanna with giraffes. It was magical. Once the park closed for visitors and cars, we just sat for hours watching the animals roaming around freely. They were fed outside the huts, so we got to see them really close. We ordered both a breakfast and lunch box, and there arrived plenty of food of good quality. Before dinnertime, some really entertaining guides arrives outside the huts to answer question and tell the lodgers about the animals. We fell asleep with the sounds of nature, we heard the wolves howling, monkies shrieking and the pheasants clucking. Bring a sweater and some warm socks, the tents get quite cold at night. The duvets are warm and there are plenty of blankets.
The fossiled dinosaurs in the Evolution Museum was a great surprise. Later the same day we visited the dinosaur park, where there are animated dinos with sound, in the dusk, it was really well made and very realistic and really tied the whole experience. Very highly recommended to stay a couple of nights and really get to experience everything in peace, get to watch the animals live. We also got to pet ponies, goats and lamas. I dislike zoos and always feel bad for the animals, but in this park, they clearly have a lot of passion for the animals, and let them live with a lot of space and love.

It was so much more than I expected!
I went with my kids 2 and 4 and they had so much fun. The Park is very well planned, we started our tour at 11am and finished at around 4.45pm. We didn't see all the enclosures but it was so worth it! Kids are especially invigorated by the animals that they can pet and the Dinosaur exhibition is quite remarkable.

We brought some snacks from home that we snacked on while on the drive through the park and finished at the Limpopo-land food court where we had some Burgers and Fries from the Mombasa Restaurant. The food was really good! The Burger and fries as simple and very delicious and reasonably priced. You can eat at the food court/terrace but it was quite windy when we went and we chose to have our meal in the car and it was no less delicious for that fact.

100% recommend! Bring some snacks, a camera and good walking shoes and ready to have fun.

Just wow! I never expected such a SAFARI in Denmark. You can drive around the grassland to see and touch(some of animals) animals with your own car and well made Dino robots in a life scale are bringing you to Jurassic period. The area is bit too small compare to the safari area but still very nice. There are also many spots where you can enjoy picnic. Bring your own food and drinks to enjoy the safari more and longer. Must go spot with your kids!

Knuthenborg has always been the place to go for our summer vacation in Denmark, and it never fails to entertain. Even now, when I'm 22 years old, i still tell my mom to drive to the horses or goats, so i can pet them. That's, of course, the most important part of the trip. Of course you also got more exotic animals, like monkeys, zebras, giraffes and of course the tigers, which area has gotten a significant upgrade.

All in all, a wonderful place, where the animals look like they're treated well. I don't think there will ever be a day, where i won't recommend Knuthenborg Park.

We spent the whole day in this park and it was simply amazing. It's perfect for kids, especially since you can get out of the car in several areas. You've got everything there from huge giraffes to tiny monkeys :} The playground is a huge bonus as well and we also very much liked the dinosaur area. 7 hours went by so quickly.

Amazing place! I was looking at their website a couple of years back and thought, hmm no a lot of interesting animals, probably no worth for a visit. However, just spent a fantastic weekend with family and stayed overnight, it’s an unbelievable experience that you woke up in the morning and see animals walking around by your bed :) Also the kids playground is unforgettable too, our kids end up of spending same amount of time playing as “safaring” around.

Super nice place! Fun for the family and you can easily spend the whole day there. But important notice - during week day only Mombasa restaurant is open! The other one (Flinthuset) works only in weekends. You can also bring your own food&drinks. Totally recommend!

This is a really pricey location but absolutely worth the money. This park is huge with so many animals and types of animals you wouldn’t expect to see in Denmark. The park feels not crowded and the animals are not stressed. You can spend easily half a day driving around and observing wild animals. The cherry on the cake is the dinosaurs-park and the endless playground together with the waterpark. Absolutely brilliant park, brilliant day and brilliant experience! TOP recommendation!

Amazing experience!! Must try it, lors of atrractions, and things to do. We spent about 5hours inside the safari park, and we are usually very fast at places like this.

I do recommend to bring your own food for picnic, as for the food inside is only fast food.

Absolutely amazing park, nothing like a normal zoo. Elephants are former circus animals given a second peaceful life! You can go around for 3h, I'd recommend taking a day. The space for each animal is very large and they really roam free.

Knuthenborg Safari Park is unique because of its wonderful location! We have been here several times before, when our children were small. This time we stayed overnight, in a tent by the elephant enclosure. It is indescribable to sit on the veranda in the morning and see the elephants grazing in the morning mist. The tent is very comfortable, equipped with a shower and Weber electric grill, and we slept fantastically well. It is a great experience to walk through the park almost alone in the evening. All in all, a great experience and a lot of fun!

Wonderful Safari park! Highly recommend this park for all age groups 😊.. if you are planning your trip (during the pandemic season especially), plan to be there at the gate by 9am, so that you can enter the park atleast by 10am.but again it depends on the queue.

I recommend going to the wolves park or tigerskoven safari as you start , so as to avoid long queues. Rest of the park doesnt have queues. It's a huge park and there are plenty of desks to sit and have lunch, coffee, drinks ..

Dont miss the dinosaur park.,Also the llamas at the exit.

Tickets can be purchased online and they have around 50% discount.

10:00 - 17:00 - Make sure to exit safari before 17:00 otherwise all doors will be closed. I was stuck there and it took 30-40 minutes to get out with the help of security.

Its a huge safari park with many popular animals.
Ice cream shops are also available. And few restaurants are also there

We went there with our 5yr old son two years in a row and absolutely loved it both times. Suggest to bring your own lunch as there are not many places to find lunch options but many good picnic spots.

It is a beautiful place, it worth visiting at least once. The place have some very nice things to do. Actually, I would say that their safari route is the least of the interesting things. Nothing different from what you would see in any other zoo, and of course it is a matter of luck to see the animals because you never know if they are on a visible area. Instead, I could recommend the museum of evolution, they have very beautiful pieces. Also the dinosor park is amazing. It was awesome to see the real size dinosaur statues. Staying the night is also worthy, the cabins very cozy. Not to mention their playgroud. It is simply amazing. The playground is definitely a must visit.

Loved it. Best things: Lemurs and Savannah. Watch out for the vandbøffler (buffalos), we almost got run down by one.

it was very interesting, but you don't have a car and binoculars will not be very comfortable
