A beautiful Castle and display of Danish heritage and nature. It was a part of a ticket to det grønne Museum , and overwhelmed me with the collection and access they give to it .

Very cool muesum and grounds to explore. The brick manor house is an excellent example how the danish nobility lived through the ages.

There are also many other exhibits in different buildings on the grounds, like a blacksmith or an exhibit on farm equipment.

If you want to visit an old danish castle and see what renaissance Denmark was like this is the place to go. They hold some great and interesting historic events each summer and christmas. In connecting to the moat and castle is a large agricultural museum which is also definitely worth a visit.

Wow, this place is amazing. It's technically not a castle but it looks just like one. We were able to explore on our own. You can easily spend a half a day here or more.

Great and very informative museum that offers an insight into the live of the wealthy in Denmark at different time periods. Signs are in Danish, English and German, which makes this museum worthwhile for foreigners as well as locals.

Would definitely recommend visiting.

Very nice museum with a ton of information in 3 languages: English, German and French.
I would recommend going when there is a theme going on, as you get to see people dressed with outfits of that time.
Also enjoyable for a walk and to just relax next to the water.

Its a fantastic Castlemuseum. Wonderfull rooms kept as original as possible. The alchemy room hidden in a little nook is very exciting.

The kitchen selling coffee and cake, made on the iron stove is marvelous.

Briliant place for kids and adults

This place is such a wonderful delight to visit. Huge gardens and a bee hut area. This place used to be so self efficient they even had their own fish volts and an ice chamber. In the actual Manor House they had a knights armor up on display and various rooms had music playing along with ambient noises to make your imagination go wild in the banquet room.

It was a pleasure being here and the staff was nice and local to the area so they can tell you some of the stuff you might miss out on reading on the inforboards. Various hidden passageways in the woods around are like wandering around like Alice in wonderland. The Manor House also has a cellar that goes on for ever underneath the ground floor.

We enjoyed our stay even without all the events we know they have here in the high seasons. There is a stabel with various horse carts and machines throughout history.

Something to note is the lack of handicapped pathways for wheelchair access. Its stairs in the Manor House exclusively. Please do donate when you visit because the place only runs on donations and ticket sales that are about 7 dollars /100 dkk

In the manor house they have sorted the floors in the centuries that are displayed and the ground floor is where you start with the 1600's private church room.

Have a great stay and enjoy because we sure did.

Always love it when there's a fancy dress box! Didn't visit the museum but otherwise lovely place and the blacksmiths even gave my wife a beautiful little token heart.
