Wonderful local history museum of a beautiful historic house, with amazing original features, very well presented in Danish, German and English. The shop and cafe were fantastic too, and staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

A small but very interesting museum.
Printed guides are available in Danish, English and German.

Definitely worth a visit!

Don't forget to have a snack in the cafe on the premises, too!

Great museum demonstrating the way of life on Rømø back in the 1700s. Also - amazing cardamom twists fresh from the oven right after

This place is just lovely. The entrance fee is pretty low (60 kr for an adult ticket) and in turn you get a printed guide and a map of the place so that you can explore it yourself.

There's also a small museum about the island of Rømø and it's pretty fascinating history. It involves a lot of reading, though, so it's probably not the most exciting activity for children. That being said, everything is written in English, Danish and German, which makes the museum pretty accessible to tourists.

The staff is welcoming, helpful and speaks multiple languages.

The best thing, though, is the "kanelsnurre". These lovely cinnamon buns are baked fresh in the cafe and are probably the best of their kind that I've tried during my six years of living in Denmark. And the prices aren't even that touristy!

Not the most amazing museum I ever visited. Although the small, self guided tour was really fun. It was nice to discover all the rooms and their usages by ourselves. In the large boat house there was the skeleton of a sperm whale! Truly amazing to see a creature like this. The staff was very friendly (and fluently speaking English). The bar is very cozy and the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls almost kept us there for a drink and a bite 😉 large parking as well and closely located to the main roads.

Part of Danish National Museum showing a part of Denmark’s old history. Interesting for both kids and adults, placed in nature rich surroundings. Really a nice place. Local cafe serves local treats, coffee and sweets. Politely served by good staff. Recommended /Jens

Nette Idee!
