Excellent site to visit and enjoy a Viking Festival, with real groups that train combat for shows. There is all kind of combats: swords, spears, bows and arrow, horseback archery, etc.
There is the real site where the Viking houses were, the "big house" and many houses and tents when people go to the Festival to live as Viking for some days.
100% recommended to assist to a Viking Festival in your visit to the Nordic countries!!

What a fantastic location... I have seen lots of stuff similar in Scotland but this is a little bit better...First of all the entrance fee...There isn't one !!!!! This is definitely in the year 22 hardly anywhere...I was very surprised. Inside we got a warm welcome from a lady behind the desk who not only spoke German but English aswell ...The Artifacts that are displayed are interesting and quite surprising sometimes as they demonstrate great skills in making and using. My kids 3 girls and my boy loved dressing up as Vikings ....and we had a good laugh and took some funny pics ....you guys can look at them later..... I can recommend this Viking museum for all ages....you can also book events here. Anyway I give it TEN STARS and wish everyone a nice day out with the Family.

“Danmark…The frozen North recalls the time of Vikings. Around 1000 A.D., this rude race sailed a great many seas, pillaged the coasts of Europe and even penetrated into Spain and Italy. One of the best known reconstructed Viking camps is TRELLEBORG, a circular fortress with 31 wooden “long-houses”, surrounded by a system of ditches and ramparts. Awaiting their sea voyages, more than 1500 soldiers-some with their spouses and children - were stationed here. It is said that the Vikings discovered North America during their voyages in the year 801.” - MINI-EUROPE

Had the best possible date of my life at this little piece of history. Went on a Sunday but the the attractions were closed, however we could still walk up to the long hut and explore the grounds beyond. A truly remarkable morning that as a foreigner to the country, I will never forget.

There really isn't anything like this place, so how do you rate it?

The museum is small but informative, the gift shop has more than your regular knick-knack (actually some really cool stuff) and entrance is free.

All in all a good afternoon spent.

very big stronghold, many house are pointed out as stones in the grass, where the woodem poles once proudly rose to carry the roofs. Great place!

Beyond interesting. A must visit if you ever find yourself within 2 hours driving. Free admission almost seems criminal.

Trelleborg Vikingfestival 🍖🏹🪓⚔
The main theme during the festival is Viking warriors, trade and crafts but also the cozy Viking life. At the Viking stalls you can bargain a good deal and buy anything from Viking clothes, ribbons and wool to mead, weapons or stunning jewelry.

Trelleborg Vikingfestival 🍖🏹🪓⚔
