Bromølle Kro

We went to Denmark for the first time and for family reasons my husband and I needed to stay in Jyderup. It is a little gem of a place, not just this hotel but also the town. I did book through Hotels.com for a two night stay. However, we decided later we needed 3 nights, which wasn't available on Hotels.com and so I contacted the hotel. They were very accommodating and advised I could have an extra night and pay on arrival.

It took us about an hour to drive from Copenhagen and the hotel is about 5-10 min drive to the town. This hotel is a classic old building built in the 12th century. Amazing. The main house has the breakfast/dinner areas including outdoors as well as a function room. I am unsure if there is accommodation in the main building. We had a room in one of the many rooms which are out the back of the main building. I believe there is about 30 rooms. We faced the carpark (I know that doesn't sound nice but it was great) and we faced the greenery where a river than through below.

The owners were so kind, so accommodating and always at your service despite how busy they were and the place was extremely busy during our stay.

We had a double room, with a fantastic bed, desk and chair as well a two seater lounge, one seater and a coffee table. No complaints it was great. The room was extremely clean as was the outdoor furniture. There was a kettle and tea and coffee which was great. The room was clean and big enough, as was the bathroom. Please note there is no aircon but you can ask for a fan. We found if we placed the fan strategically in front of the French doors to the open balcony, facing the room, it would cool down the room enormously, otherwise we found the room quite warm at night and uncomfortable. There is no refrigerator but they can provide you with ice if required. We chose not to the bother the owners and bought a bucket in town and ice and this was sufficient for us.

The weather was unusual, hot in the sun and cold in the shade but the furnished balcony (which every room has) is fantastic. Unfortunately, when the sun warms up it's impossible to sit out there. Perhaps umbrellas could be supplied - just a thought.

Breakfast was included in our price and it was a buffet breakfast with fantastic options. Well worth the money spent in Denmark and we found Denmark is generally pretty expensive. Plenty of options to choose from.

We also ate at the restaurant; it was always pretty full with patrons. I am unsure if that was locals or just people staying at the hotel. Prices are not cheap but the meals are amazing. The steak is worthwhile having. The wines and service impeccable.

The town is 5-10 min drive with shops and a Netto and a Spar supermarket. There are also places to eat . There is also a train station in town.

Free wifi and excellent connection. Free parking. The laundry service we found expensive.

Smokers – you can smoke on the balcony.

A very nice and historic place at a beautiful location. The service was perfect, friendly and professionel.
The food was also very good with exceptional perfectly cooked meat.
Bromølle Kro is definitely worth a visit.

The authenticity and history of Bromølle Kro makes a visit an experience rather than just dining out. The atmosphere, staff and guests are all chilled and an absolute pleasure to be around. The food portions are generous, although not fantastic due to lack of seasoning, still recommendable though :-) AND the surprise appetiser with homemade butter and bread was devine!

We had just dinner at the restaurant and everything was impeccable, the service, the food, there is even an outdoor area for children to play. Definitely coming back here.

This restaurant serves traditional Danish food with the modern twist. The service is excellent and the food is delicious.

Vi var 8 personer, der i april 2024, havde eftermiddagskaffe, senere en drink samt en trerettersmenu på programmet . Sluttede aftenen af med kaffe. Overnatning og efterfølgende morgenbord.
Maden og personalets opmærksomhed var, som altid, i top. To stykker kød i hovedretten., var ikke helt gennemstegt, hvilket hurtigt blev rettet, med et tilbud om et glas vin til selskabet på husets regning. Dejlige værelser i den moderne fløj
Bromølle Kro er beliggende i et utroligt smukt kuperet landskab ved "Kattrup Gods" samt flere store herregårde. Den nærliggende Tissø, med dets store og varierede fugleliv, kan beses via Buerup.
Eneste "Ridse i lakken"var, at parret foran os, ved indtjekningen, fik en solid gang voksenskældud, da de ikke havde indlogeret sig via de elektroniske midler. Jeg mener, at have læst mig til, at det var en mulighed og endnu ikke et krav, og vi havde da heller ikke problemer selv, med en kollega til den vrisne.
Ellers var hele opholdet en fornøjelse, hvilket altid har været tilfældet, siden min første middag på kroen i 1976. Der er pt. endnu to planlagte besøg i 2024, hvilket vi alle ser frem til.

En helt unik kro ....alt er topklasse idyllisk ligefra beliggenheden , betjeningen til toppingerne ...helt klart et besøg værd :) og så er der en grum fortælling om det tidligere værtspar 🫣 vi mangler dog stadig at finde galgebakken 😊

Fina stora rum med liten uteplats. Fantastisk mat och mysig skog att vandra i.

Maten, inklusive efterrätt är fantastisk, frukosten har det mest nödvändiga men i hög kvalitet.

Holdt fødselsdag 17 december med 55 glade gæster. Dejlige lokaler, flot opdækning, glade tjenere, dejligt mad så kan det ikke blive bedre.

Vi har netop været på et ophold på Bromølle Kro. Vores værtinde var bare ENESTÅENDE 🤠🤠🤠 Vi følte os bare helt fantastisk opvartet hele vejen igennem. Vores tre retters menu var lækker, og bestemt ud fra årstiden 😋😋😋 Morgenmaden var skøn, og her manglede absolut heller ikke noget, MUMS 😋😋😋 Bromølle Kro kan varmt anbefales, og vi kommer meget gerne igen 🤗🤗🤗
